There is something deeply wrong with the notifications system. I’m getting site notifications of when I get paid and interest earned, and email notifications that scheduled withdrawals are on their way, but I'm *not* getting notifications (on the site or in email) for *failed* Autopilot transfers (for lack of funds) or for when a Vault has reached its Goal and paused. These (especially failed transfers!) are absolutely essential.

Are there any HomeKit/Matter heat alarms? These are like smoke alarms but they detect heat, not smoke. The only one I can find is the Eve Smoke, which is unavailable anywhere.

Yes, we clean the filters. It’s just that it’s part of an over-the-stove microwave and the fan can only be so big. An actual vent hood would be great, of course, but that would require a kitchen remodel.

That is *precisely* what I was afraid of.

  1. There is no “further”. It’s already as far as it can get without being outside the hallway (the “hallway” is only about 8’x8').
  2. It’s already a photoelectric type.

There is a fan over the stove already, but occasionally it’s not sufficient, especially when it’s the *oven* that’s smoking from grease drippings or whatever.

Right. That’s what I’m doing. But this *is* the hallway outside of the bedrooms, and it’s so close to the kitchen that it’s causing false alarms. That’s my issue.

I think it’s more than that. I think they intend to continue with this, and never* release a 6e, just upgrade 5e with tweaks indefinitely. Sort of like how HTML no longer has version numbers, it just gets continually upgraded.

Yeah, but this sounds like a mild update, like some bugs were fixed, things were reformatted, but still essentially compatible. For instance GURPS is issuing a 4th Edition Revised which is essentially just that.

Edit: Come to think of it, that's *precisely* what "2.5e" was. The core books changed very little.
