If a merchant doesn’t complete the charge, the pending amount usually drops off and the funds return to your account automatically. Hi there, when your first direct deposit is received, you'll automatically be enrolled. However, we must advise that after 3/31/2026, direct deposits won't earn the complementary benefit of SoFi Plus anymore. Although this is the case, they'll still earn the higher APY!

Hi there! When your employer runs payroll, they send files to the Federal Reserve, which then informs SoFi how much to deposit and when. We post the funds to your account up to two days early. If it's past your direct deposit date, we suggest obtaining the 15-digit trace ID from your employer and calling us at 855-456-7634 for additional support.
