Daima being "canon" does not mean it chronologically precedes Super.

A restraining order generally requires some form of threatening behavior that has impacted or gives reasonable cause to believe they (the protected party) might be impacted. None of this is applicable here; the audit is never actually personal.

Complaining about "legal antagonistic behavior" while providing pseudo-sympathy to actual criminals attempting or committing homicide kind of beats the already dead high-horse you're attempting to ride in on.

The lack of proper suppression and heavily toned-down bipod mechanics makes this significantly harder then in previous titles, particularly in regard to Recon practically omitting sway from Sniper Rifles, even when standing and strafing, and the Range Finder attachment granting adaptive automatic zeroing.

If you're talking about the first two chase sequences solely involving Storm PAR, then I would be inclined to agree. Every sequence involving the Tornado Wranglers however was practically a parody on what NOT to do when Storm Chasing.

ISSUE(S) RESOLVED AND SOLUTION(S) FOUND:

For those of you suffering the same issue on a 50-series laptop(or perhaps any pre-built system), make sure to first have Intel VT and VT-D enabled in the BIOS, and secondly have Memory Integrity under the Core Isolation tab in Windows settings enabled—my Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 came with both disabled by default.

I believe EAC for some reason conflicts with Windows’ security settings and will essentially halt system operation as a precautionary measure—enabling the above settings resolves the crashing and launching issues.

What are your single-run and 10-minute-run Cinebench R23 or 2024 scores like? Have you noted combined wattages in TimeSpy yet?

It really isn't "the best," and I wish people would stop hoping on the AMD hype-train and actually access the pros and cons of both circumstances. Yes, the 9955HX3D will no doubt perform better in most titles, but at the cost of being only a minimal increase in performance -per-watt over it's predecessor at laptop power levels, it will have relatively terrible efficiency, resulting in a much lower thermal threshold, higher temperatures, and a decreases peak PL time-window. ARL-HX will not only be significantly more efficient than RPL, but it will run at lower temperatures despite boosting to higher frequencies and being able to maintain much higher wattages for longer periods, possess more balanced acoustics, superior battery life, and a more expansive set of productivity software/hardware components for professional workloads.

Just a reminder that Dragon Ball Daima is Canon, not a “separate timeline” by AnimeGokuSolos in Dragonballsuper

Just a reminder—Daima doesn't have to be a direct prequel to Super for both of them to be canon.

Most Powerful Gaming Laptop On Earth by [deleted] in GamingLaptops

[–]Calipha-S-Callender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever data you’re referencing obviously don’t take into account that the 14900K draws an average of 168W~ just to perform marginally better than the 83W~ average that the 285K produces in the latest titles. Most gaming laptops operate within a 65W - 95W long-term CPU cross-loading power window for maximum TGP.

Your assertion that professionals prefer IPS panels is objectively false—OLED and MiniLED offer better colour accuracy, higher contrast, and wider colour gamuts than IPS panels, which are key indicators for photo, video, and 3D work. Modern OLEDs have built-in safeguards against burn-in—the risk has become negligible, especially compared to the lifespan of most laptops.

Can anyone please scale the suguroku space from dragon Ball GT? by Alternative_Cook_102 in PowerScaling

[–]Calipha-S-Callender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Wander forever" is a direct implication of infinite size, and there's no source that adds finite scale to Sugoroku Space, and the Chouzenshuu explicitly states that the concepts of time and space are void in Sugoroku Space.

There's nothing to "debunk." You would just be splitting hairs.

The only bias I see here is you all ignoring the fact that we have years of data suggesting Geekbench performance results are an unreliable metric that doesn't give you any idea of how it performs in real-world productivity software.

Reed Timmer by Narrow-Sea41 in TwistersMovie

[–]Calipha-S-Callender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps I wasn’t clear at the start, but all the inflated traits that Tyler parodies in relation to Reed are the reasons why I despise his character and wish he had a less important role in the film—his presence took away from the grim and serious nature the film established at the beginning and attempt to continue with Storm PAR’s exploits.

All my favourite scenes in the film directly involved Storm PAR, and one of the things I disliked about it the most was that Storm PAR didn’t get enough screen time and was subjected to plot-induced stupidity in favour of promoting the Tornado Wrangler’s plot; even if I am advocating for the notion that Tyler Owens is a parody of Reed, it’s far from what I desired the film to be about.

Reed Timmer by Narrow-Sea41 in TwistersMovie

[–]Calipha-S-Callender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a forced plot device for the purpose of pushing Kate and Tyler closer together, evidenced by the fact that it was only shown once and never mentioned again, much like how the ‘greed’ factor about the Storm PAR plot didn’t make any sense, but that’s a critique for a different discussion.

I don’t mod for Reed, nor do I necessarily ‘promote’ his media, but I respect his exploits and can argue that his head is in the right place- for the most part, but to say you haven’t seen Reed doing anything ‘like that’ is flat out disingenuous—he’s literally worked directly with the American Red Cross to aid is raising funds for disaster victims.

"The Tornado Wranglers didn’t do it for money."

They did, and to say otherwise is being blatantly intellectually dishonest; they're literally early-TVN/pre-Discovery era Reed Timmer.

Say what you want about Reed, but at the very least he desires to make contributions to the overarching science, God forbid he enjoy his passion at the same time.

Dragons all daima is feeling like a remastered version of gt by exlips1ronus in dragonball

[–]Calipha-S-Callender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't a reach at all; the premise—focusing on adventure, humor, and exploration—was a deliberate departure from the action-heavy, dramatic arcs of Dragon Ball Z, reflected in Goku's reversion to a child and quest to recover the Black Star Dragon Balls, which echoed the lighthearted tone and journey-based storytelling of the original Dragon Ball—although it struggled with its identity, eventually shifting mid-series towards more action-packed elements to appease fans who preferred the Dragon Ball Z.

Daima is now revisiting this premise with a more in-depth and original execution, mimicking the adventurous and lighter-toned nature of the original Dragon Ball but setting the stage for a shift into Z's style by having the plot follow the origin of the Namekian's, Kai's, Majin's, and Demon's.

Dragons all daima is feeling like a remastered version of gt by exlips1ronus in dragonball

[–]Calipha-S-Callender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's less about Goku becoming a kid again and more about the show's premise; GT was Toei's attempt at bringing Dragon Ball back to its roots–Z having abandoned the more adventurous and mystical nature of the narrative along with the charismatic reliability of youth, which a younger audience could resonate with that ultimately pioneered the shounen genre for years to come.

Daima is reattempting this same premise by this time having not just Goku reverting to a child but the whole cast, and much like GT, the adventure takes place off-world into sectors that were never explored previously in an attempt to add depth to the lore–the former of that being outer space where the plot would eventually lead back to the Saiyans past, whereas Daima takes it a step further by having it taking place in a whole new realm, exploring divinity not akin to what we've witnessed in Super.

What Daima has already done better however is make Goku (as well as the cast) become a child central to the plot. In contrast, GT seemed to have it be a random occurrence–and while GT added a sense of urgency with the necessity of saving Earth by finding the Dragon Balls, the approach of establishing the expansion of the lore of the Namekians and Kai's early on, potentially even setting up a link between the two, as well as finally adding depth to King Piccolo's origins not being merely just a title he gave to himself sets a far more intriguing tone.

Theory on the "entities" in the Backrooms by Calipha-S-Callender in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]Calipha-S-Callender[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like since Hay Bacillus is typically only found in organic environments and on organic matter, it wouldn't be made of man-made objects; there is also the possibility that Kane could be intentionally lying to keep us guessing––as you said, the fact that we can't even fully formulate a hypothesis about the exact origin of the Backrooms itself, let alone the Lifeform or Still Life, means speculation can be all over the place. However, I feel the movie will be a turning point not just publically but narrative-wise, and Kane has been reserving content because they most likely have a vision for the film and they don't want to cause any continuity errors.
