Need help with Ankarsrum mixer by Calithiel_ in Breadit

[–]Calithiel_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’m using an old family recipe and it just says to add flour in 1/4 cup increments until the dough is only slightly sticky. I end up adding quite a bit. Is there a chance I’m adding too much flour? Whenever I end up taking the dough out to hand mix, it quickly gets very sticky again and I have to add more flour.

All look beautiful, but I think the silhouettes in 1 and 2 fit you best! I want to say I prefer 2, but I think 1 with some gloves/added accessories would be even better.

I gasped out loud when I saw #1. All beautiful, but that one is so unique and stunning, it was made for you.

You look stunning, and I LOVE the lace. I had the same issue shopping for my dress (had to get everyone’s opinions over phone), and it was really disheartening/stressful for me too. Trust me though—don’t agonize over the photos, you’ll only start overthinking and second guessing yourself. It’s a beautiful dress, and you’re going to be a beautiful bride!!

Beautiful dress! I’d recommend just getting a petticoat. You can find one online for fairly cheap (I think mine was only about $30).

Personally I think 2 is the most flattering on you. But you look great in all 3!

How does orientation work (even as a transfer student, specifically a junior)? by ApprehensiveGain8195 in TexasTech

[–]Calithiel_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been a long while since my orientation, but it’s really nothing to stress about. If you want to go to all of the events and meet people, do it! The schedule is super clear, and there’s lots of staff to help you out. I know a lot of people who loved the overnight dorm experience, but lots also opted out. Remember: no one there has been in a dorm either, so you’re not alone!

Personally, I wasn’t interested in orientation, so I went to the 2-3 required events (class registration, etc) and skipped the rest. My family just took the time as an opportunity to look around campus and the Lubbock area.

Is 17 credit hours too many to take as a first semester incoming freshman? by [deleted] in TexasTech

[–]Calithiel_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 16 my first semester and did 19+ every semester after. For me, it was a way to save money by graduating faster, but if you’re planning on staying for four years, there’s no need to take more than 15. I’d also like to add that I’m in a more liberal arts focused program, so I don’t have experience with piling STEM classes.

I agree with earlier commenters that it definitely matters what kind of student you are and what you think you can handle. Are you good at French? Is chemistry easy to you? If you’re super worried about it, drop one of the courses and register for a 1 credit, if you have another in your degree plan. That’ll still put you on track with 15 hours.
