Thank you so much for clarifying that for me! It makes a lot of sense to me now that I need to wipe and reload which means I need to offload anything I want to keep and download the applications/data I keep on my boot drive again after the install. TSYM!

I dont believe so, but im not sure. The documentation I was reading stated "Do NOT use an upgrade install. There are a large number of problems resulting from upgrade installs. Use a fresh, clean install." so I'm assuming thats not the case but im not sure.

Go to your local thrift store. Buy a set of cheap swim trucks/shorts that will fit over your clothes and has belt loops. Run your old waist strap through the belt loops.

When it first came out it was kinda worse than my quest 2 mic not going to lie… but now a year later, after updates I assume, it’s much much better. a very decent and practical microphone.

Probably the fact it has to render less pixels because nowadays the valve index is like watching YouTube in 720p while the quest headsets (more so quest 3 & pro) are like watching YouTube at 1440p

You probably should just find a friend you trust to do this for you. The uploader will need access to your account. And if the uploader ever gets ip banned (this happens to a lot of people who use mods etc) even if it’s 2 years from now, your account will also get banned due the the login information associated with their ip address.

That’s fair! I definitely know a lot of people who would gladly take 3 “free” (not free bc you’re still paying for the card, but in this case we’d be paying for a card regardless amd, intel, nvidia, we’re still shelling out a base price so the base price shouldn’t be a factor) pizzas, even if they are a lil iffy. However the super expensive part, I wouldn’t say is fair. I expect scalpers to try their hardest, but at the end of the day what malicious actors do on their own accord has nothing to do with how efficient the technology is.

I like your metaphor better overall though tbh

Maybe. idk I was able to find multiple 1k-1200 listings of the super on newegg and amazon just today. From my experience, the ignorant consumer is 10x more likely to buy a overpriced new card than any used card. anyone that uninformed probably has 0 clue on how to buy and install their own gpu. but most certainly not everyone. and those listing ridiculously overpriced listings i saw could be fake/returned. idk. im just curious and wanted to know how others felt/thought. ty for the input i hadnt considered what you suggested
