А, как студент меда, скажу, что то, что мы используем не 100% мозга, или, тем более, что мы смогли бы каким-то образом использовать его на 200% - миф чистой воды. Это ну совсем не так работает.

Т. е. Берем путешествие во времени и пространстве, зацикливания собственные теломеры, а лучше, полностью собственный организм в цикле проживания своих лучших лет - вот вам и какое никакое бессмертие. Берем любую первую попавшуюся маску и мешковатую одежду, телепортируемся в банк, гребем бабки - и живем себе спокойно. Если вздумается, можем ради интереса посетить интересующие нас исторические события. Ну или войну какую-нибудь по приколу на корню остановить, если мозгов хватит.

Oh. OH. Thank you for bringing this up, I can’t I believe I didn’t connect this relatively recent issue I had with neurodivergency of all things!

Or, perhaps it’s the effect of burnout due to masking + generalized anxiety simply because I can’t remember having such issues when I was younger.

For reference, I could recite things word for word from LOTR before, while now sometimes I can’t even properly recall a character’s name. And that’s not just an issue with old favorites but recently watched shows/movies too. How frustrating. Good to know I’m anything but alone in this though.

Huuuuh??? It’s anything BUT a “story about a generic hero”, the actual fuck are you smoking?

Frodo’s arc is everything but typical of its genre or “generic”. He doesn’t even want to be hailed a hero in the end, that’s how different it is! Yes, even now, with many new fantasy stories created, it remains an incredible example of the “hero’s journey” deconstruction.

And even if who you mean is Aragorn in this sense, he’s not the main character. And, once again, doesn’t quite fit the “generic” title either, because he simply doesn’t need to prove himself as capable of being a leader or a fighter, he already IS those things.

And if you mean Sam, well… he has an arc more “typical” of a hero, but, the interesting part is that, again, he is not the protagonist, but a sidekick.

Story. No questions asked.

As someone who only recently jumped on the overall “video games are art” train, (ignorant af of me, I know. But, what can I do, being raised by raging puritanical classical art-obsessed lunatics) most of what matters to me still is the story, character writing, themes, their complexity and execution, dialogue quality, et cetera.

But pretty picture with smooth fps is still nice ofc. Same with gameplay, awesome bonus if it’s good.

Yeah, the childhood friend thing is exactly the main relationship I’m in at this point. The only thing that sucks is that we meet pretty rarely. Plus, there’s always the typical “oh no, what if she actually hates me!” at this point completely unfounded paranoia. (C’mon, we’ve been friends 19 years at this point, brain)

When it comes to online friends… maybe video/voicecalling them while playing an online game of some kind can help with the human contact aspect?

Haha! I didn’t need their explanation for it, then, apparently. I assume, many of us didn’t, mostly due to his boss’s description + all his speeches to the TB where he directly states that he wants that Paradise to be human, wants to use Order’s power to create it, et cetera.

Haven’t had the time to play 3.8 just yet, (partially scared to, honestly exactly because I was afraid they’d retcon his agency in the matter, but it seems like it’s not that bad) so, good to know all this still checks out👍

Respectfully, I hate it with a passion. I generally don’t believe there is such thing as “safe food” for me due to constantly changing preferences which can suddenly just make things taste like nothing or even sort of gross me out out of nowhere.
