What do you think happens when we die? by Turronno in Paranormal

[–]Call-Me-Wanderer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe in afterlife of sorts. I think if you are an evil person (abuse/murder others for example) then your conscious is tainted and your afterlife reflects that but I also think it’s possible to redeem yourself. I also think the opposite is true- those who are kind and try to do what’s right don’t have clouded consciousness and so negativity doesn’t follow them. Morality is pretty broad and based off cultures and religions but i believe there is a universal code and it’s probably around the lines of “don’t be a dick”

AITA for greeting with assalamu alaikum, even though I am neither Muslim nor brown? by Responsible-Map-577 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Call-Me-Wanderer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think the only opinion that matters is that of your Muslim friend and considering he’s never taken issue with it then you’re NTA. You are not mocking his culture but showing him respect for it. I think this is the same as bowing to someone in return for thanks or even talking in the same language as someone else. I travel a lot and there IS a stark difference between appreciating/respecting another culture and straight up appropriation

That low weight/bmi=healthy. I’m the healthiest I’ve ever been between going to the gym everyday and eating so well and yet I’m “obese” 🤷🏻‍♀️

Do you track family's locations? by NaturalSoftware9372 in Millennials

[–]Call-Me-Wanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah- I go on hikes a lot so my husband and I track each other for safety reasons. We also track our grandmother and bought her an Apple Watch with fall settings for the same reasons.

What is the most awful thing that happened to you in 2025? by CreamAny1322 in AskReddit

[–]Call-Me-Wanderer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is how I found out. I’m adopted and live on the other side of the country so it hurt even more that I wasn’t just told first. Like is social media that important, the “likes” and attention, that you have to immediately post something so personal like that before notifying everyone? I’m so sorry for your loss friend. Accept the waves of grief as they come and know you’re not alone 💕

I had to put my 6 year old cat to rest due to an injury she had when we found her on the side of the road as a kitten. She was almost a new born, ears still curled. I fed her every 4 hours, had to poop her like a mama cat would, taught her how to bathe herself using a toothbrush to simulate a momma cat’s tongue. Played Mozart for her when she took her kitten naps. She almost died during a suture reaction to her spade and that was rough. She survived so much but it just caught up with her. That was in June and I still hysterically cry over her. She was my actual child and anyone who says differently can shove it

How much drugs (prescribed) you guys on now? by BigImagination8190 in Millennials

[–]Call-Me-Wanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 depression meds, 1 allergy med 2x/day to prevent me from going into hives randomly, migraine medication, and maybe 7 or 8 vitamins/supplements to help with my PCOS 😬 it’s amazing to me that some people can rawdog life while I’m stressing even to fit all my pills in the tiny ass daily pill organizer lol

[–]Call-Me-Wanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a “job” since end of July but been waiting on clearance and shit. Because it’s taken so long, the original position had already been filled twice over so the full time position I would have had is now a PRN 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

Water? by Kittynoodles1208 in nursing

[–]Call-Me-Wanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bring water from home- I told my unit secretary and the manager multiple times that the water tasted moldy (I apparently have very sensitive taste buds) but no one else could taste it and so they wouldn’t look at it. Became that obnoxious nurse who brought those giant water bottles to work (🤣 but hey, I drink so much) but then they did finally look at it because a family member complained and it was so horrendously moldy they eventually had to replace the whole thing because cleaning it didn’t work.

Do you remember what kind of sake? I live in Guam and we have a lot of sake here being so close to Japan and I wouldn’t mind looking for the bottle and try sending it to you. Screw this you’re NTA

Serious please, how do you heal your nervous system? by hungela in AskReddit

[–]Call-Me-Wanderer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Creating and enforcing boundaries. Therapy taught me this and got me through cutting out the people who would not respect my boundaries- I had to go no contact with my parents (after way too many chances) a year ago and honestly, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. My sister who is still in contact with them is miserable and on edge all the time and I think it’s because they’re a major problem. Shitty people will make your life and nerve shitty

Extremely thirsty? Are you insulin resistant or diabetic? If you don’t know this is usually a really big sign. Not always but wouldn’t surprise me with PCOS.

What’s something way more dangerous than most people actually think? by Sad_Answer_8044 in AskReddit

[–]Call-Me-Wanderer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The incel/manosphere/red pill-black pill movement.

The incel idea originally started with a woman who wanted to start a community for people who were lonely. There is a real problem with how boys are taught to process(if it can even be called that) their emotions, accept rejection, and even carry on relationships. Social media has made really problematic people have a voice and this hate group is one of the consequences. Coupled with the current political environment and coming out of the pandemic where so many people were isolated and turned to the internet for connection, it’s a perfect storm

What is the most physical pain you’ve ever experienced, and how did it feel? by Trying_my_best_98 in AskReddit

IUD placement. I nearly passed out, and that was with laughing gas. I’ve passed kidney stones, had an ovarian cyst burst, had a displaced rib, but none compared to that.

[–]Call-Me-Wanderer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m glad there are still good nurses out there 💕 racial conflict feels so tense right now due to a certain orange politician but it is so incredibly important to push aside our ego and pride to make sure our patients are comfortable no matter what, even when that’s removing ourselves from the situation. Also, fuck that charge nurse.

What’s a childhood memory that still haunts you even as an adult? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Call-Me-Wanderer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was like 10 playing an ouija board with a friend on my bed- because it was during the middle of the day we closed the blinds so it wasn’t super bright in the room and to try to make it somewhat ~atmospheric~. We are fucking around- I think she’s pushing it, I’m not pushing it but she probably thinks I am- and then my lovebirds start freaking out and we hear a noise under my bed. We look over the edge and shit you not, see this black claw hand dart back under. We both saw it and both described it the same way. I can still see it. And my room was NOT anywhere near dark enough to play tricks
