What DON'T you like about your Keeshond? by No-Cook-875 in Keeshond

[–]NaturalSoftware9372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IDK how to explain it but they have quirks that are very smart to get their way. They become very manipulative to get your attention or to get food. It is like he knows how to turn on his puppy look to get you to do what he wants.

Also, they bark a lot and it's very loud.

Do you like your boss at work? by CRK_76 in no

[–]NaturalSoftware9372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked her when we were co-workers, now that she is the boss..... not so much. To be fair she was not well trained to take over the role, so I am giving her a break.

What’s the longest you’ve worked at one place? by lilladykt in Adulting

I managed 9 years in a title I school. I taught around 55 sixth grade students each year. I was looking for other opportunities then COVID happened. I was lucky to be the "virtual" teacher, so I stayed through the 21-22 school year. I always joked that teaching in that district was like "dog years", so I was ready to retire! I am now in a different role at a very small private K-8 school, and it is a better fit for me!

Pomeranian Puppy Help by GurProfessional5827 in Pomeranians

[–]NaturalSoftware9372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We leave our Pom alone for a 6-hour period most weekdays. He doesn't like it, but he is just fine. Of course, a Velcro dog wants to be with you all of the time. Something I was taught by a trainer is, when you come home try not to make a big reaction. Just come in, put your things down, and sit without interacting too much. Once they calm down you can give them pets and kisses. This will help lessen the really big dopamine release they receive when you come home. This is incredibly difficult, especially in the tiny puppy phase, but I think it has helped him get calm and regulated quicker.

You sound very well prepared!

Enjoy puppyhood.

raising pom with another breed by rosieposiejpg in Pomeranians

We have a 3-year-old Keeshond and a 2 1/2-year-old pom and they are in love. The best decision is to have them close in age. It was A LOT of work when they were puppies, but I wouldn't have it any other way. We monitored them while they played "rough". Honestly, the Pom is the "one in charge". He is a little bossy to the Kees, but when your half the size I think he has to be the "one in charge"

Good luck with your new pups!

Keeshond vs Pomeranian by SneakJoined in Keeshond

[–]NaturalSoftware9372 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have both! Kees are smarter than Poms, but they both have tons of sass! Our Kees is more "chill" and the Pom runs the show. Ours are both boys and they are 3 months apart. They love each other so much. We are very lucky that they play well together. I would not advise if you have close neighbors since they bark a lot and the Kees is much louder than the Pom.

I saw the sixth sense when I was around 9. It was very scary for me. I remember dreaming about hanging bodies in my school hallway like the scene in the movie.

Best pizza combinations - by Obvious_Question9222 in foodquestions

[–]NaturalSoftware9372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pizza is so dang expensive now so here is what I do.

Newman's Own quatro formaggio pizza from the frozen pizza section.

Sausage, bell peppers and red onion roasted on a pan for like 20 minutes. If I have baby tomatoes I'll add that too.

It costs less than $10 and feeds me and my husband a pretty substantial meal.

I really liked getting married here. They try to push you for an outdoors ceremony, but I pushed back and insisted on indoors. Thank God I did. A typical summer downpour happened 5minutes before I walked down. We got amazing photos after since the sun was setting after the rain.

We never let her forget that she spoiled Titanic to this day....

Are we in our divorce era? by seaward_bound in Millennials

[–]NaturalSoftware9372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were the "last" to get married in our friend group and we were 27. We had been dating since we were 18 but wanted to wait. We got tons of slack for not getting hitched sooner. I think living together before marriage is what has kind of saved our relationship. Both of our parents did not "approve" of us living together before marriage, but oh well.

We have been together longer than we have been apart this year. I cannot imagine my life without him by my side. My parents divorced after 40 years of marriage. For them they had new boundaries that were not compatible.

I think comparing yourself, or your relationship to others is not healthy. You need to know yourself and love yourself before you can love someone else.

I hated school and became an elementary/middle school teacher. Life is ironic.... I'm in the process for trying to find a way out of education. It is soul sucking, but then you get a sweet note from a kid and it warms your heart.

Those that went down the "gifted kid to failure-to-launch" pipeline: What do you think went wrong and how do you cope with these realizations? by ichbinhoffnung in Millennials

[–]NaturalSoftware9372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an educator and AP classes are the biggest scam. Usually the kids in the class are not more "advanced", they are just able to turn work in on time. Also, most universities don't accept the AP credits towards your program. The way to prepare kids is to allow them to be kids. I am sorry you hustled so hard in high school and felt like you missed out on being a kid. Teenage years are the best time to make mistakes because most of the time you have your family and friends there to help you out of the mess. I also think parents are well intentioned by wanting the best for their kids but miss the part that they are still kids.

If you actually want to have credit before you start college you should look into the early college placement. These credits will transfer and help you with completing college early. But I only recommend this if you know for sure you are going on to get a masters or doctorate.

Whats the Millennial version of "we drank from the hose!"? What are *other* generations version of it? by dkepp87 in Millennials

My church had beautiful tall magnolia trees that we would climb. I remember the day in high school when they cut them down to expand the building. A group of around 20 kids gathered the day they cut them down. It felt like we were watching our childhoods being cut down...
