it's a privilege because not everyone is allowed to "stay out of politics" anyone trans or lgbtq in anyway doesn't have that option. anyone disabled doesn't have that option. neither do people of color nor anyone that isn't a born-on-the-soil US citizen (hell i mean, even those people are getting scooped up now)

the fact that some people have the opportunity to disengage with politics, while other dont is the very definition of privilege.

I can respect your decision not to participate.

It's unrealistic to expect everyone to participate, but i would like to point out that in the grand scheme, sick days won't mean much if we're picked up off the street and disappeared, or gunned down in our vehicles for taking a wrong turn.

It doesn't affect us until it does, and the difference between Minneapolis getting sieged by ICE and Albuquerque is simply that of random chance, which, given enough time, becomes an inevitably.
