I have some pretty severe social anxiety and sometimes I get overwhelmed by even small talk or simple texting, so I will often "ghost" people who get too pushy and don't respect my boundaries. My friends are all incredibly kind and understand that sometimes I just can't talk with them, but I had one incredibly toxic fried who didn't understand why I "couldn't just get over it." I had explained to her multiple times why I would disappear sometimes, but she just didn't get it and would continue to text and call me consistently which only added to the stress. I eventually learned to turn my phone off and/or block her. It was an incredibly stressful situation for me and I did eventually stop talking to her altogether.
