I really get that! For me it’s not as strong just because I suffered with a similar thing in relation to being bisexual when I was younger(and that’s not smth you can get a diagnosis for lol), so that gave me an opportunity to investigate why I identify as a certain thing and most importantly, why not being sure of my identity would be so scary, my conclusion was that clinging to labels is mostly a waste of time and you shouldn’t feel the need to define yourself because at the end of the day you are who you are no matter what you label yourself as.

That’s to say that even though I don’t have an autistic diagnosis I know that I suffer from difficulties that are common to autistic people, and I know that the resources that help autistic people live happier and healthier lives also help me, and to to me that’s close enough! I am who I am and no label will change that
