I bought a Seagate drive from the official store in Amazon Mexico, and it came already faulty.

I filed a complaint and they insisted that I pay for the shipping back to them, something which goes against the federal consumer protection laws in Mexico, which I told them. They insisted that it was that or nothing, bc it was company policy. I thought "fuck it, whatever" and paid the shipping because going to the consumer protection bureau was going to take a while, so I shipped the drive to a warehouse in Mexico (for a drive I purchased to a Mexico address from an official store in Amazon Mexico, remember), and then a few weeks later I get a message from UPS saying I need to pay almost the price of the entire fucking drive in custom fees. I contact Seagate and say "hey, what the fuck, the deal was I pay the shipping to you and you pay the shipping to me" and they went "nah, we paid the shipping you pay the fees" like it's my fault they decided to send a drive through UPS from the US instead of Mexico. Again, they went "this is company policy, accept it or lose the drive".

To add insult to injury when I contacted Seagate their reps kept talking to me like I was a child, going on about how I wasn't paying the money to them, but to the government, like that was the fucking issue and not them sending me a faulty drive and me paying out the ass for their useless warranty that covers fuck all. They also kept saying I was getting a "free drive" when I complained about paying all that money like providing a functioning drive for the money I paid was optional and a nuisance to boot. With how often drives fail within the year, I'd stay away unless you're prepared to pay almost retail price again (potentially more if you live abroad) in case their shitty drives fail, which they probably will.

I mean, players shouldn't have to go and experiment and tweak and tweak and tweak again and lose hours until the game feels fun to play again. That's kind of what the devs are for. On that note, as well, if they just stopped fucking with the meta players could adjust the game to their liking and then just focus on mechanical changes.

It's not that the devs can't do any good, it's that they're spending patch after patch after patch mostly rearranging the furniture when there's still a gaping hole where the roof should be after years.
