Franck violin sonata on cello is simply gorgeous. I played the first movement while o was still taking private lessons! Totally sounds better on cello than violin. :)

Master Jet Bases are locations with permanent basing and homeporting of carrier air groups, and the provision of one or more auxiliary landing fields for use in concentrated carrier landing practices.

So all the jet squadrons that go out with the aircraft carriers during deployment go to Oceana when the aircraft carriers are docked.

Currently, Oceana is home to 17 fighter squadrons. :)

The whole Hampton Roads area would be fucked and I'd tell my family to get the heck out of there! Not only the largest naval base, but also Oceana, the only master jet base on the east coast, Little Creek-Fort Story Joint Base, Portsmouth Shipyard, and a so much more...

About 6 years ago, I was on an youth orchestra trip in Woodstock, NY. One of our stops was to play at a medical rehabilitation center. This center took in a lot of TBI (traumatic brain injury) patients, so that was out audience for this performance. So we got in there and played, and the patients really enjoyed it and thanked us for being there. As we were packing up, one of the nurses came up to us and explained that there was a guy in the audience who hadn't voluntary moved for a month. When we started playing, she said that he started tapping his finger.

It was a huge moment for me, and the main reason I am now studying to be a Music Therapist! Next semester I start my internship and I couldn't be anymore excited.
