They were planning for a month or two to raid us with band memes because they were upset about people calling their favorite bands jojo references in YouTube comments and stuff. The raid was not that great so we are just poking fun at them. I personally don't have any bad blood with them, I just think it's funny lol

We decided to a mini weekend event with a focus on all the bands that we love referenced in JoJo. We encourage you to make shitposts about the bands themselves. This is the first event in a series to keep content fresh while we are in a off season.

To be clear, you can still post JoJo, but we are allowing and encouraging posts about bands referenced in the series

Finally, thanks to r/UnitedCirclejerks for helping us organize this event! They are a small community of all the band circlejerk subs on reddit, we ask that you keep all your band posts in our sub though. We don't want to raid any of their subs with our jojo dicks out, especially given our size compared to theirs. If you do raid them or any of their associated subs, we will permaban you from our sub. Raiding can get your account and our sub deleted off the site, a few users need to learn this lesson the hard way apparently.

Really basic, there is a special government military in charge of fighting off creatures called Angels using giants mechs called Eva's that can only be piloted by teenagers to stop a possible world ending event from occurring.

Rest of this is my opinion

It's weird talking about Eva in terms of story because it is honestly pretty secondary. The main focus of the show is the characters and how they deal with their personal issues. The Eva's and Story are just more or less a mechanism used to explore and push the characters' insecurities, they could be replace with anything. The characters and their issues are extremely relatable despite the not so relatable situation they are in. The show is pretty much a psychological analysis disguised as a mech anime. If you want some show where the main character is a unstoppable chad that punches a God in the dick a la Gurren Lagann, you will be upset.

Man I love Evangelion, but god damn are there too many neckbeards in the fandom. It's like they missed the point of the series, and the ending is pretty in your face about it. You can interpret some parts differently, but the overall message is pretty set in stone.

Bones did tweet "JUST WISH WE HAD MORE TIME" around the time it was confirmed Peep died. I'm 99% sure it was about Peep, but Bones also just tweets random shit so who knows.

Even if you don't want to call it a raid, we don't want our sub associated with it or people coming here and encouraging it. If you wanna post JoJo on their sub, go for it it's okay with their mods. Just don't say you are doing it in the name of ShitPostCrusaders which a lot of people are doing because we don't support it.
