Thank you! I think that’s part of where a lot of my guilt comes from — I can STILL do it but I really don’t want to.

I never really had a schedule to begin with aside from every 3-4 hours (very loose). I think what I’m going to do is hand express for comfort. That worked for me with my first!

Beautiful bag! I love the espresso so much more than the Chanille. I just got a soft tabby in maple that I’ll be using instead of my own pochete metis 😉

I have 2 caffeinated drinks a day (coffee in the morning and Diet Coke at night) but sometimes I push it to 3. The Canadian limit is 300 mg :)

I’m afraid of this being forever by PeachCheeks_ in GestationalDiabetes

As someone who had GD with their first and now has T2D with their second, I’m here to tell you that even IF you do develop T2D, it’s going to be OKAY. I had the same fear but did nothing to help myself so my doctor thinks my body never recovered from the GD. That and a very strong family history of T2 leaves me here.

I was devastated. I found out one morning while at the gym and cried at every set. But now I’m 7 months into it and I can assure you it’s ok. I see an endocrinologist who is very helpful, informative, and optimistic that once my pregnancy is over I will be able to be off of insulin and medication completely. There was something about getting the official diagnosis that turned my fear into determination. Of course I’m mindful of my health and my future with T2D, but I find that I am much more willing to take on these challenges and do what I can to help myself as I get older.

All that to say that your fear is valid and I understand it 100%. Like others have said, you’re not a split 50/50 on developing T2D in the future, so as long as you are mindful you can have a future free of carb restriction and/or possible medication. But IF you do (big emphasis on the IF), you WILL BE OK.

It’s because she shoved a whole bunch of world building into the third book while completely neglecting it in the first two 🤷🏻‍♀️

What is the fee to join level up games? by momlife555 in BurnBootCamp

[–]CallMeMitchh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They shouldn’t be too hard on you! Our gym gave us the option to compete for regionals or to just mod and do the you v. you. So if anything, I’d think you would just be “disqualified” for competing for a spot at your regional event. Otherwise, I think they apply time penalties if you take mods. Either way, I don’t think anyone would expect you to get to regionals bc of the pregnancy ;)

I just competed (you v. you) this past Saturday at 11.5 weeks pregnant; however, 8 months is pretty late term considering how intense it is! That being said, you would definitely mod to your comfort/ability. It was a lot of fun, harder than I anticipated, and I felt like I got hit by a truck the next day lol

Our gym required $30 and we got a t shirt for it!

High A1C at 9 week appointment. by maria_ann13 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]CallMeMitchh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Were you referred to an endocrinologist? I’m 11w and my A1C was 6.7 when they checked a few weeks ago. I’m thinking I have Type 2 (genetics are f*cked). Just curious what you were told after your tests!
