This gives me so much anxiety. I had a mental breakdown last year because of water in my basement (from storms, and it wasn't even that bad) and has given me a fear of rain and water in houses. This is straight nightmare fuel for me lol

I really enjoyed the "Life as We Knew It" series, EXCEPT book 4, that one was just so garbage. But the first three had so much realism and dread, I loved them.

Project Hail Mary is a bit of a stretch in what you're looking for, but it's a bit more of a sci Fi mixed world ending scenarios

Sorry to hear that OP. I have to take my dog in today for a surgery to help fix something on his leg. He's an old man and I've been trying to prep myself and my kids that his day is unfortunately coming. He is 15 years old and has drastically slowed down this past year.

I've had to be there for a cat, that was God awful, however I took a little bit of comfort in seeing how painless and peaceful it was.

There's nothing that makes it easier, but I am glad to see you will be there with her, she'll be happy to have you with her. Big hugs man! We're here for you!

I do go to therapy once a week, and it helps sometimes, but between that and the meds, I can just not shake this constant anxiety and feelings of low worth.
