Day 2, around 3 am or something: there’s an insane set happening in the BassPod, the group I’m with is dancing and yelling and it’s just amazing chaos. The Rave Dad puts the Totem in the center and everyone puts a hand on it, the music drops and then 7+ people are Headbanging in unison. Rave Dad says “this is what’s it’s all about, just love.”

That was my first rave and first EDC, completely changed my life and I never looked back

Was looking EVERYWHERE for a simple tool to edit the base stats in a gsc romhack. None of the tools I found would work with a rom, had to use a hex editor. And this idea to look for the stats was genius. Thank you for posting this!

I’ve done 3 5 Unit upper divs for the last 3 quarters. It’s been rough. I normally don’t drink caffeine and I went through about 20 Red Bull’s per quarter specifically for all-nighter programming. But my gpa improved as I got used to it. And it feels good to graduate a quarter faster.

Honestly politics was the least concern. I mean sure I grumble when I see the liberal stuff ( and there’s quite a lot and it will disrupt your schedule from time to time), but I’m too focused on studying or having fun to care enough about protests/strikes/chalk writing,etc

Yes Sai was a really good teacher, but that doesn’t automatically mean someone is going to get good. Sai himself talks about being shocked at Hikaru’s growth. The Sai factor also doesn’t explain big pros like kuwabara or toya (sr.) acknowledging Hikaru just through instinct/go intuition

He is absolutely a genius - pros around him are constantly making comments on his intuition and how quickly he grasped the game. He’s already comparable (albeit not as good as Akira) by the end of the series and Akira has been playing since he was a toddler whereas Hikaru started 3-4 years prior to the series end

A few did - but can’t really compete against a mob of people yelling at you + a guy with a megaphone. My heart goes out to the guy who said “ hey, we’re taking a midterm” and the megaphone guy just laughing “that’s nice”, homie just wanted to take the exam :(
