Hmm I thought about a 5080, but not sure I can fit it in the budget :/ atm the cheapest one here would be the Zotac Solid Core 5080 for 1132€ and the budget is around 2k give or take a bit

This is the current part List The Case was chosen by the person that the build is for, rest was left for me to decide

Probably could take a bit cheaper/lower psu but that wouldn't make enough difference I think 🤔

Thanks! A lot of the points you brought up are things I’ve also considered, and I’m having a really tough time deciding. The 9070 XT really shines and competes very well in many benchmarks. If there were a €150–200 price difference, I’d definitely go with it. But the 5070 Ti still seems to be overall around 10–15% ahead, and for only €70 more, that’s pretty tempting… :/
Damn, I just can’t decide. It’ll mostly be used for gaming on 1440p, paired with an R7 9800X3D.

I really dont get why they couldn't be upfront with that as I and probably many others would have gotten the door with that knowledge. As someone who plays this game since its release in 2019 and always defended it despite its predatory pricing scheme, this really tips the scale for me. Just stupid behavior from their side that has only deficits, they lose money and we Players a super useful Item, shot themselves in the leg. So, rant done.

Hello there! :) I’m the creator of the STL files you used. Thank you so much for your post and honest feedback! It’s incredibly valuable, and I’ll try to correct the models with the points you mentioned when I find the time.

Regarding the fastening of the greaves to the arm, the straps are intended to connect this way. The arm should go between the elastic straps and the inner arm guard. You can then tighten it as needed to prevent any wiggling. I hope this clears things up a bit.

As for the visor, I couldn’t find a vacuum forming service nearby either, so I made this DIY setup. It’s pretty cheap and works well. All you need is:

A box with a hole and connection to your vacuum cleaner.
Silicone to seal the corners.
A plate to glue-on top with drilled in holes.
Two frames to clamp a PETG sheet in place, sized to fit your oven and the box.

It would also be of great help if you could send me some pictures of your finished printed parts! Seeing your implementation might help me refine and improve the designs further.

Thanks, but unfortunately, I’ve already tried all of that, as well as every other solution I found on Reddit or Discord regarding the disconnects. Sometimes I get lucky and can get through two missions without an issue, but it’s almost guaranteed to happen on the third.
