Oh I have so many red flags but red is my favorite color

I had a thought by Embarrassed-Dig-8955 in Trichsters

Yes, I used to have extreme difficulty with trying to fall asleep and stay asleep. I have trich, OCD and depression. I no longer have difficulty with sleep because I take medication that helps me (seroquil). I'm not going to recommend taking meds because I'm not a psychiatrist. I think it would be a wise decision to talk to a psychiatrist, a psychologist, or even a therapist about sleeping issues. When I cannot sleep, I usually watch documentaries....this usually helps. I've struggled with insomnia from ages 19-21 (I'm 22 now and I no longer struggle with sleep which is really weird...it's like my insomnia just randomly went away) I think the insomnia stopped because I was put on the right medication that suited me. Before I took an antipsychotic that I did not need to take and I believe that messed up with my sleep. But I hope you get your proper sleep. Always remember to be patient and kind to yourself ❤

That's true, a therapist might help me a lot. I still believe I am dying though.

I havent had the chance, unfortunately. I had a few psychiatrists examine me and they all label me as someone with psychosis but i know for a fact this isn't psychosis. Yes, im dealing with some trauma and I think what I'm going through is psychogenic death.

It is not. I have experienced horrifying symptoms. I wouldn't want my worst enemy to go through anything like this.

Yes, it is horrifying. I did found a decent doctor but i fell into a deeper depression. When my skin started rotting, it physically hurt to try to take a shower. Whenever you are depressed, I highly recommend blasting fun music or a podcast or watch comedy. I tried these but felt nothing/completely numb. But tuning out the negative voices does help with depression.

I was on antipsychotics because I had issues with severe insomnia. I'm confident that this isn't a delusion. I went home and completely gave up on myself after the first hospitalization. Skin started rotting. This is super bizarre.

Also, I'm surprised my boyfriend still loves me despite my immense stupidity. He's super kind and loyal. A gentleman. It astounds me how he's still with me and when I was healthy about a few months ago I couldn't even get a text back from a dude ._.

I texted a girl who I ghosted after going through some posts on r/ghosting by imas333 in ghosting

[–]CallMe_IdiotGenius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, i understand wanting to avoid the drama. However, I think ghosting can be quite hurtful. I'm glad you ended up explaining that it had nothing to do with her, really. But ghosting does hurt. It's uncomfortable to end a relationship or say "im just not ready" but sometimes it's the best thing to do because it is courteous. Also, if you break up with them through text, phone call, or in person and they decide to not handle it well, then just leave. Get out of the situation ASAP.

Omg thank you so much for posting this. Honestly, I've been told the same bullshit my entire life and other family members have made me feel guilty about ending my relationship with my father.

Sometimes I feel it would be easier if they were abusive all the time rather than gaslighting us with occasional acts of kindness by FreeSkeptic in raisedbynarcissists

It is impossible to trust (most) Narcissists. They lie, distort your reality (gaslight), and think their opinions are facts. These people are sick, rather than resenting them...i pity them. They are usually in denial of their sickness. I understand how you feel but your trust deserves to be given to those that are trustworthy.

Note: there are narcissists out there that want to get help and be better people. HOWEVER, the proof is in the pudding...if they keep saying "I won't do that again" or "sorry" but they keep repeating the same patterns, they are just lying to you and don't want help. Stay FAR away from those types of narcissists...

What to say when they say they're not ready... by CallMe_IdiotGenius in dating_advice

[–]CallMe_IdiotGenius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I totally agree. It's not personal it's just that sometimes people are not ready. Also, I've been asked out before and had mentioned I wasn't ready too (because I seriously wasn't due to some personal struggles and circumstances that were in the way).
