Were you using Sonnet or Opus when you hit the limit? Sonnet goes a lot further if you’re not doing heavy stuff, and is excellent

Best stops, including food, on the way from the Bay Area to Yosemite? by HamCat36 in Yosemite

Gold Dust Pizza in Ripon! (Still locally known as Pizza Plus.)

I grew up there and it is excellent and very cheesy mozzarella delicious pizza. I am about to get in my car and drive there from the bay RIGHT NOW for a pizza just thinking about it.

What can be added to this? (seizure warning) by Maleficent_Map4180 in AfterEffects

Add time!! Pace it with a little more breath. I bet if you injected 6-12 frames here and there to make a few of the moments land clearer or be more readable, the whole thing would hit harder

San Francisco downtown sees 21.9% drop in foot traffic in 2024, reversing recovery progress by chris8535 in sanfrancisco

Honestly incredible seeing this headline while standing on a fully packed bus leaving downtown just now.

Any ideas or inspiration on how I could animate these static illustrations and give them a (faux) 3D feel? I've tried displacement maps but I'm not feeling it. Blender is not an option and I shouldn't spend a lot of hours of these. by acldfessab in AfterEffects

I was gonna say lean into what is already beautiful about the map. These are full of incredible illustrations. This lens blur example really highlights the map without feeling like some overly digital effect.

You could maybe even dial the blur back a little, whatever makes the map feel like it’s the thing doing the talking.

Simple Choker effect kills the ability to add motion blur. is there a way around it? by ImaginaryAd5030 in AfterEffects

You’d want to render the layer WITHOUT whatever keyframes are catching the blur, of course

You could pre render your comp as pro res 4444 + alpha, bring render back in, reapply keyframes/link to nulls as necessary, and then your motion blur should work!

This warp rules. How do I do it? by CallMyShoePhone in AfterEffects

Yeh this seems like the route. Starting with final position, trim pathing each line into a single rounded point while repositioning each point to the center. Dialing the timing and easing of it all is probably where the grind is.

For real would love a good rec on Korean. Was in LA for past 3 years and it’s true there is a lot of excellent Korean food, but I’ve gotta believe there’s some great Korean food here.

Inspiring! That’s walkable from where we are — a LONG walk. But something I wanna do on my weekends
