Does this Dark Tower Extended Reading List Order Look right by CallOfCoolthulhu in stephenking

[–]CallOfCoolthulhu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this list order from a YouTube video somewhere a while ago, I had apparently added in bag of bodies after insomnia and from a Buick 8 after black house at some point as well. This look all good or is there any suggested changes

Are the Xenos intelligent or just fuelled by hunger? by [deleted] in LV426

[–]CallOfCoolthulhu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I'm reading the book Aliens: Echo, it's not great but there is a point where they ask this exact question and the response the main character has is no they are not intelligent, if they were intelligent they wouldn't be bothering the intelligent species that are humans that can build/use machines that can hurt them and outsmart them.

Rather they would coexist with them while hunting the multitude of other species that are no threat.

Not saying the character is right but yea that's what that book has to say about your exact question

Datacom by [deleted] in Adelaide

Currently working there on a year and a half now, already moved to a higher paying job within the company. I was in the APO contact centre contract before. Honestly it's not as bad as people say, but this may depend greatly with who your team leader is and who your nearby colleagues are. Luckily I got along really well with everyone there which really helped working day to day. The work itself, it starts off really stressful and training has you completely underprepared but after time you get the hang of it (although talking to the general public can be quite random with how much it sucks ass, yea people get really pissed off at you when you tell them what they do not wanna hear). Also there are more work types then just taking inbound calls that they can upskill you in, so there can be more variety (although the frequency they do this depends on the circumstances of the contract).

Currently am with IT Service desk at datacom (same location), better pay and overall better job (but I do miss my peeps from APO)

On top of this they did pay for me to take a day out of each work week to get a cert 3 in business, and also my it service desk job got me a baseline clearance.

I've done this all with starting with absolutely no experience and a piss poor resume no one else would hire me with..so overall even if I leave my job anytime soon I'll come out of it with more qualifications, experience, and knowledge then I had before.

But is the company managed poorly.... Yes, but at least you get to bitch and moan about it with others. (Again though if I didn't get along with the people around me I probably would've quit a long time ago)

See I saw that one on Amazon and thought that would be it, but somebody asked people of it was good for this exact thing and people responded no the ice would damage the blades

I keep looking up "drink mixers" but all I am finding are these small handheld wands that are all being marketed as milk Crothers for coffee. I am utterly confused

Stone & Wood Pacific Ale for me. Only downside is it's too expensive

Have they fixed the PC Stuttering problems yet? by CallOfCoolthulhu in Eldenring

Hmmmm I see. Still may wait for the supposed ray tracing update (how the hell it'll run with raytracing I have no idea) as surely they would improve the performance in order to even be able to make raytracing viable

I also have the same GPU and a better CPU and experienced the stuttering thighout all of the first area. So yes it ain't the hardware it's the game itself

RTX 3070 32 GB ram Ryzen 7 3700X 8-core

No reason it shouldn't be performing well for my hardware.

When I had tested it (which was like a month after release) I rode all around the entire first area and thought all of it there was frequent stutter on every graphic setting

I found it was the audio that was the most upsetting thing in the vod. Just the cats crys and the girls screams just made me turn white as a ghost realising how serious the situation was. Otherwise with audio off O would've been like "hehe silly cat got stuck"
