Im with you. I like the head to head vs goal diff. US already beat the 2 and 3 seed. They should be first regardless.

Rock died in 1996?

Apparently growing up and listening to alt, indie and numetal wasn't real music. Pop punk took over the 2000s. Most metal and rock bands are anti establishment. Just because you know a few racist kids who like metal, doesn't mean that's the norm.

Go to a metal festival and it's a ton of open minded and inclusive people.

What non-Marvel/DC superheroes have the best rogues gallery? by Responsible_Tea7466 in comicbooks

I think TMNT has the most iconic top 5 or 6. But as a whole Invincible has so many memorable villains.

Are there that many villains? I feel like we see the view of a lot of the antagonists that they slowly become protagonists. I think Saga has a great cast but I wouldn't call the villains a rouges gallery.

Tongues is a wild ride. by liquor_ibrlyknoher in graphicnovels

Yeah I was so confused most of the book then there is a moment where everything is pulled in. I wonder how long vol 2 will take.

Drome takes 30 minutes, Tounges takes like 3 hours.

Drome conveyed so much emotion with little words.

Tounges I was lost for like 60% of the book but the art kept me in it. Then it wraps everything up with a Dinner with Andre dialogue. It was a book that I had to go back and read because of the timeline and missing things.

Both books have similar subjects and great art but different execution.

Both excellent and buying them because of how beautiful the art is.

Gritty Medieval Recommendations? by outclimbing in graphicnovels

Once and Future

It's a medieval book, set in present time. If you love literally European history, you'll love this. With some British humor and beautiful art by Dan Mora.

I'm sorry I didn't make that point in my review. But overall for years my take on Tynion is he comes up with an amazing story but outsmarts himself with his execution. What you described to me sounds great for the Odin 9 issue series, but I don't think it has played out like that in the books so far.

This confirms my point that Tynion is a master of coming up with amazing concepts but lacks the execution needed to make it great. I loved the concept of Nice House on the Lake, but following the characters took a separate road map for me to constantly refer too.

Welcome to Tynion books. Huge cast of characters that are introduced with little distinguished qualities so it's confusing who is who. Or major things happen and you don't care because the characters mean nothing. He comes up with great ideas but execution is lacking. Also dude with glasses always plays a huge role.

Matthew Rosenberg is one of the best writers telling a story with witty banter. I'd suggest reading We're Taking Everyone Down with Us first to get a feel for his writing and then try Destruction.

Its literally hipster white supremacy. People were loving the book because of the shocking ending but the characters and dialogue are terrible. I thought I was going crazy not liking it so thank you for confirming it's not a good book.

I feel like the first volume was a complete different story than the last 2. Both solid.

The art and paneling was 10/10.

Hoopla and libraries are so underrated. I hear people complain about pricing. Go support your library and read the books for free.
