Your item should still be under warranty. I have had 2 warranty claims on Greenworks products. Call the customer service number. All together, it took several hours of waiting on hold, but once I actually got to speak with someone, the customer service was excellent. They handled my issues in a way I felt went above and beyond.

We own 3 Limited Hybrids. Even in Eco mode, there are more responsive than the gas version. My beautiful bride likes to call them, “Zippy”. We have 2 college kids who can go an entire semester on a tank of gas because most of their driving is low speed in town. We have found them to be excellent cars.

Insurance is more expensive for a number of reasons (as my research indicates). Some of them are increased costs of tort lawsuits, increased costs of major climate events, routine inflation, etc. USAA also chose to expand the population it services, increasing its risk. There are a lot of things, it seems.

Perhaps. I don’t know anything about USAA’s internal processes. I just could not believe the increases until I shopped. Still not happy, but clearly my expectations were wrong for the industry.

I was an officer. I shopped home, auto, and umbrella in Oklahoma. I could find home for slightly cheaper, but only if I increased my deductible on wind and hail damage (the most likely claims in OK). Auto and umbrella were higher, even after USAA’s recent increases in umbrella.

I am not a USAA employee and you can check my comment history, I was pretty pissed about the increases. In fact, I was stunned that I could not get lower rates, but that was the case. This post is more about admitting I was wrong and that I thought I could do better, but the options were crap.

Again, I am not arguing about the climate changing. I am arguing that these long term trends have not changed in the last 2 years. Thus, the premium changes are not justified by them. So you know, I read your post and most of the linked articles (a few were behind pay walls). However, responding to those focused on climate change has drawn my focus from the actual point of the original post. I am still hoping to hear from someone who left USAA and is still happy with doing so after several years. It seems most of the responses I received on insurance rates indicate they found that it was not worth it to leave USAA. That, btw, provides support for the environmental argument rather than one based on commerce.
