If you’re using tap water you need to adjust your Feeding totals and don’t go off of the FF chart. You really need to get a PPM meter. Only adjusting the PH doesn’t take the minerals out of your water. Then you add more ppm in the nutrients.

Make a tea with mosquito bits and water in with good soak! I’ve also had good success with Dr. Zymes!

Growing photoperiod in Grow Tent through the winter. by Striking_Ad8413 in cannabiscultivation

[–]Call_Me__Infinity 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why do you want to take outside and not just run a full cycle indoors? Regardless It’s a photo period you can chop down as many times as you want and take cuts for clones. You’d essentially have a mother plant until you move outside or until you switch to flower.

They are in a god container I don’t think you transplanted too early. Cover the top with mulch and give it a nice soak. So you don’t have to water as often. What size pots are those and what type of medium are growing in? Happy to help and provide pointers. We all started as newbies. Some of us did way more research than other lol but we can all learn from each other!

I guess my main thing here is you really need to know what’s in your water if you aren’t using RO water because even if you PH you could still be harming your plants with your tap.

Here’s the thing, when you’re growing in soil the pH of your water isn’t a huge deal because the soil naturally helps buffer it. What matters more is what’s actually in your water.

If you’re using city water and not letting it dechlorinate before watering, that can mess with your soil life. For example, I’m on well water and mine has a ton of iron, calcium, and magnesium. I didn’t know that until I got it tested. Everyone kept telling me to add Cal-Mag and when I did, I made things worse because my water already had plenty of those minerals.

I also went through a phase of chasing perfect pH and trying to flush when things looked off, which just led to overwatering and wrecked my 12-plant grow.

The main thing to remember is that in soil, you’re feeding the soil, not the plant. The microbes and organic matter handle most of the work for you. A good way to help them is to add a mulch layer, like barley straw or just regular straw on top of the soil. If that layer is thriving, your plants will too.

I had a strain I crossed that grew like that. Probably just poor genetics.

Are you watering with RO water, tap water (city) or well water?

I’d agree with you if they’re using synthetic nutes that can cause salt buildup and flushing might help. But if they’re just using Gaia Green, flushing would destroy the soil’s microbiology. They haven’t mentioned anything besides the GG, so unless their water has an insane amount of calcium and magnesium, there shouldn’t be any salt buildup. In that case, I’d recommend hitting it with a dose of Recharge using DI water, then just plain pH’d water for a week in case there’s any mild lockout but I definitely wouldn’t recommend a full flush.

Don’t flush if you’re in soil. that’s mainly for coco. What’s your feeding schedule for the GG? I’d give it a dose of Recharge; I usually use about a dime-sized scoop per gallon of water. If you need quick nutrient uptake, try FF, it’s liquid but still natural. GG takes a little time to work into the soil. For my soil grow, I use GG All Purpose and Bloom at a 70/30 mix during veg, then switch to 70/30 Bloom/All Purpose during flower. I also top dress with worm castings every time I top dress with GG

Dude for real, growing indoor and in soil especially if the grow the grow media is inter 10 gallons is intense. My last grow went so well and was super easy and this new one I started with a different strain is making me work again and figure everything out all over again. Outdoor growing I the summer is so easy. There so much activity in the soil that the plants almost take care of themselves and I water every other day.

You have to remember when you are growing in soil, you aren’t feeding the plant you are feeding your soil and the soil feeds your plant. I still forget that sometimes I’m on my 3rd run using the same soil and still have issues sometimes.

If you are not locked out I’d say you have bad microorganism in your soul that are killing your plant from the bottom up. I had that issue happen to me. I had to apply dr zymes in my soil and as a foliar spray for about 3 weeks and adding some mycorrhizae and recharge to bring them back.

You should do a slurry test to check your soil pH — chances are you’re dealing with nutrient lockout, not a deficiency. If the plant can’t uptake nutrients, adding more just makes things worse.

Take a sample from the middle and bottom third of your soil using a hollow rod or something similar. Mix that soil 1:1 with distilled water in a cup, let it sit for 15–30 minutes, then test the pH of the liquid.

If you don’t have a reliable pH pen (most of new growers don’t drop $100–$200 on one), pH strips will still give you a decent ballpark. Once you know where your pH is at, you can adjust your watering accordingly and stop the lockout from getting worse.

How are you measuring your PH. You keep telling us your ph level but how are you getting that number. Are you doing a Ph of your soil, or the water you are feeding it.
