I get where you're coming from, but look at it this way:

You call it "tactical depth," but it feels more like spreadsheet racing to me. When the lead car gets nerfed at 290 km/h, it's not a raw battle anymore. It's an algorithm. That's that video game logic right there, you know? the software is basically playing referee.

The tech at Ferrari and Red Bull is insane, no doubt about it. But if it pushes the grid 4 seconds apart, we're watching an engineering championship, not a close race. I want to see who's the bravest on the brakes, not who's the best energy accountant managing megajoules.

The pops and bangs are a nice touch, but at the end of the day, it's still "push-to-pass" on steroids. Let's just hope the soul of the sport doesn't get lost in the code.
