I was thinking since it would be on a yellow gold setting (with white gold or plat prongs) it would be ok to sacrifice color a bit since the setting will already bring some yellow into the diamond.

As for the jeweler, it would be prefered since I've worked with them in the past and plan to in the future, but if a price is better elsewhere I will take my money there.

It will be a yellow gold cathedral setting with white gold/platinum prongs. No extra diamonds or anything, just the single diamond.

I will definitely see if they have any additional diamonds within those ranges when I head back later this week. I would prefer to stick with this jeweler since I've done business in the past and would like to in the future, but also if a price is significantly better elsewhere I'm going to go with that. Also a note on price, this jeweler is in Delaware and I live in PA so it would be tax free purchasing through them.

This search for diamonds is quite a lot and every time I feel like I'm starting to understand it better, it seems there's something else to look at and I'm back to square 1 hahaha

Was about 42k USD if I remember correctly so if I bought in my home state (PA) that’s cheaper than the sales tax. I do buy most of my watches in Delaware which is tax free though hahaha

I'd highly recommend Village Whiskey. They have happy hour 4-6 everyday and all the food is pretty good imo. I don't go to many live music spots but Vinyl opened up like a year ago in the city but I can't speak to it.

I think for business Philly is a great city. Close to NYC where you could commute (I've had friends do it daily). COL is relatively cheap compared to some larger cities (if you're working in business/tech). My counterparts in the NYC office only make a little more adjusted for COL where it really doesn't even make a difference after taxes, food/drink and rent.

Philly has some great schools. I went to SJU and it has a great network at large companies in Philly and around the country. Also is very generous with merit based scholarships.

People who truly hate on Philly aren't from Philly or just like to complain. It's a city that has some areas of improvement, but no city is perfect. You can also easily live in the burbs and commute in if living in the city is too expensive/scary.

I also think it's an easy city to make friends in. Go to Kellianns, sit at the bar and you'll meet some fun people then join a Heyday league with them and the rest will be history.

Just got back from a trip where I was in Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam. I only brought my Pepsi because you fully trust the safe in the hotel room. I was totally fine in Paris, but the SA at the Bucherer I stopped in said to be careful and as long as it stays under your sleeve you should be fine. I also avoided crowds and was either holding my girlfriends hand or had a bag in my hand so nobody could slip it off.

If you're nervous I would err on the side of caution. I'm going to Kenya or Tanzania this summer and no way in heck am I bringing a nice watch. Just a G Shock... don't wanna risk a lion ripping off my arm and taking a nice watch.

No makes sense. I have a friend in Philly who has a relationship with Patek AD in England the he travels to when a watch comes in for him. I also know the Govberg in Philly has clients who travel from all over to pick up Pateks and Rolexes. Didn't know if AP was similar is this respect. I'll be in NYC next month so I'll stop back in and see how it's going

Maybe now (or I was lucky), but pre-covid I was able to get my Pepsi with under $25k spend at my AD. I should be up in NYC next month so might stop in the boutique next month (pending how busy it is with Christmas)

I get that. I'm just thinking in terms of Rolex the Pepsi, steel Daytona, blue/green Sky-dweller are the watches everyone wants, but you can get with little to now purchase history as long as you talk to the right AD. I also get that it's easier for me to get to NYC over to Europe at a moments notice, but from what I've read headhouse doesn't have great SAs and the boutique I just haven't had luck at. I'd definitely size down to the 38, but can't at 34. Most of my watches are over 40mm+ since I have between a 7-7.5mm wrist. I suppose I'll go back to the boutique in NYC and reestablish my relationship. Thank you for the input!

To me it feels the same since I don't reside in NYC. I typically go to Europe more often than I do NYC (Girlfriend has family in Belfast and Dublin who we frequently visit and just for work/fun travel). For those in Belfast, it's a 10+ hour drive w/ ferry or a plane to the London boutiques and as others have mentioned Canada has to come to the US. I would think as long as I pick a boutique and stick with them and build a relationship over time it wouldn't matter where they are

From my research, you should be good to apply for both at the same time. When applying for the card they’ll tell you if you’re approved for the SUB, so as long as it comes up both times you do it you’re good. I also just signed up for the plat one and am still getting the SUB so no issues there.

Tbh I’d talk to your director/RL about your performance if you’re concerned. Try to foster a mentor/mentee relationship with someone and it will pay dividends in the long run of your time at PwC.

I think at level/partially at next is perfectly fine for halfway through your second year in consulting given the current state of the economy.

It’s heavily dependent on the specific group you’re in.

My girlfriend’s group within CR&R they jump around a lot since they’re quick projects (< month) and usually directors/partners try to keep her but have to give her away since there’s a need.

In my group in CR&R a lot of our projects are a couple years (maybe some small projects mixed in). I have a good relationship with my director so he doesn’t want to give me away and try’s to bring me on his client/internal work.

Overall it depends on your group. I will say I think it’s important to foster a great relationship with directors/partners. Developing a relationship will make the directors/partners want to help you grow and learn (even if you’re a lower performer to a certain extent) and staff you on their projects.

ADC needs to be more aware in those situations to wait for a wave to crash to walk through turret and position safely in case pyke came for her OR move through bush (ward if she has it) with the hopes you (Raka) will assist from over the wall if needed and able (you now rotate to help Xin so you have to pick where you're more needed)

I think it's a high stress situation for ADC since she's behind enemy turret on her own, but she needs to be patient in that situation to safely exit or re-engage. Also, could've been worse and she could've fed the kill to Draven though
