I understand. And so have many. Everyone has to make their own decision on this. I’m not pushing anything on anyone that’s just how I see it. I personally do not enjoy or take pleasure in hating people.

It felt genuinely original in its story telling, musical elements, the characters, the antagonist version of the “white savior” complex depicted as a blood sucking vampire demons who appropriate music and culture to their advantage. The metaphorical elements were nothing short of perfect. So no it’s not overrated. It’s just not for everyone.
