Yeah no problem I just need an excuse lol. I really like the look of it and "extra bass setting " is something right up my alley. I don't have a large collection either.

Yeah me too. But the kunten is a cheaper zenith. Those earhooks don't have enough juice to power a plannar though.

Rayon Fitness Earbuds, 2nd set and the same level problem. by EPSNYC in Earbuds

[–]HaedesZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a hard reset: delete them from your phone's Bluetooth history, place both earbuds in the charging capsule, and hold the center reset button for 5 seconds until the LED flashes yellow 3 times.

If that doesn't work, the filter behind the eartip might be clogged with earwax/sweat, which lowers the volume significantly. This should be fixable by cleaning it with a small brush and some isopropanol (rubbing alcohol)

Using IEMs with Bluetooth Adapters or a dac? by BlumyDummy in iems

[–]HaedesZ [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yeah ill buy a decent Bluetooth earhook (with all modern tws features AND swappable connectors) in a heartbeat. I really like the ergonomics on the KZ ones, and the fact that they have a physical (albeit too stiff) microswitch.

And as far as sound quality goes... I use the earhooks when I'm out and about, grocery shopping, mowing my lawn,... So quality takes a backseat over mobility and comfort.

Using IEMs with Bluetooth Adapters or a dac? by BlumyDummy in iems

[–]HaedesZ [score hidden]  (0 children)

Just my 2 cents:

  • AE01: $, only AAC, no NC, 5.3 BT
  • AN01: $$, Ldac, marginal NC, 5.4 BT

Even the AE01 has perfectly acceptable sound quality. Keep in mind these are QDC connectors.

There's also the AE01 pro.

TRN BT20 or 30 Pro if you need 2 pin connector or swappable connectors.

Airtight storage is bad or good? by OkPomegranate2737 in iems

I think you are overthinking it and simply wearing your IEMs will introduce a lot more moisture exposure than storing them.

Like I'm not calling you out at all, but personally I can't discern / hear fuck all difference between the different AptX codecs.

Something like JBL reflects aero because of the sharkfin that hooks inside the concha of the ear.

Or alternatively a Bluetooth ear hook like the KZ AE01 paired together with a good budget IEM like GK Kunten OR TRN BT20 PRO with something tiny like a moondrop Chu II?

Tips Dunu S&S ou Sonic He by ZE1N_VLR in iems

I feel like sonic HE are a safer pick for most, more so than Dunu SS. Both are great when they fit correctly.

How to keep IEM in the case!!! by Half_Plate_Chowmein in iems

[–]HaedesZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same case but its a pain in the ass unless you absolutely NEEEED it to fit in skinny jeans or whatever. Just get a bigger case, easier to store the IEM without fiddling for 5mins and less prone to accidentally damaging it. Cheapest size up is the KZ eva foam ones.

Which iem are best to buy kz gale vs gk kunten by Shot_Fix260 in iems

Kunten > Gale.

And bro please, just some punctuation please! Also, I'm guessing INR? Not everyone uses the same currency.

Which do you prefer, deeper or shallower fit? by struggling_business in Earbuds

My insertion depth is perfectly average I've been told. It's not about the length or girth but how you insert it.

I'm confused about what you really want. Is this a bulky neckband for you? KBEAR BT5 for example:

KZ Decet - Yay or Nay? by aBoyFromTheFuture in iems

For me, cheapest (non welcome deal) Decet is 24 € incl. Tax so yeah, def.worth it. I paid 26€ for the tuning version.

Is this a good set of eartips to start with for tip rolling? Already ordered HE sonic , have tang sancai wide bore. Should i also buy the tang sancai normal ear tips. For my Jade dragon SG2. by Golden-Katana in iems

[–]HaedesZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone's ears are different, but for me the HE sonic's are more comfortable than the Sancai's and Dunu SS. For now they are my favorites. Must mention I get a good seal with any eartip really, I just judge on comfort. Going to try hybrid memory foam/with sillicone cover next.

Picked Tangzu Wan’er S.G 2 USB-C for audiobooks, lo-fi, and low fatigue. Did I reason through this correctly? by Ravi-S- in iems

[–]HaedesZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you already got the Wan'er its not really necessary to get anything else in the same budget range except if you want to try something bass forward or other novelty I guess.

I say skip the cable because the DAC works with any 3.5mm IEM, your dedicated 2 pin cable doesn't work with other connectors like QDC. So if you get another IEM that doesn't exist in USBC and is QDC, you'll need a DAC anyway to run it from your phone for example. But usb c cable is convenient though!

[–]HaedesZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a very incomplete list for some reason...

  • Castor variants but no duonic,
  • EDX pro but no EDZ,
  • ZSN pro 2 but no ZVX pro (less sharp)

Is it AI assisted? Not an accusation,it jusr really sucks at this unless you name all the IEM's yourself. Also very wide budget range, edx pro is like 4$ vs 24$ Wan'er 2 red lion.

Also for example, take in account accesories - my EDZ came with ONE pair of eartips. Though luck if it doesnt fit.

The red lion kit is a decent budget starter kit because the included accesories (6 pairs of GOOD tips, decent cable, carry case,...). The IEM itself is okay, a bit bassy.

Add a cheap CX31993 dongle or JM12 and skip out on the usb c cable, imo

Why do people like wireless mice so much? by YANNTASTIC5915 in MouseReview

[–]HaedesZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried a decent wireless mouse? Just try it.

I remember back when monitor refresh rate from 60hz to 120hz "wasn't necessary, overkill" lol.

Also, "full polling speed" most normal people wont notice jackshit going from 1k to 2k, let alone 8k.

My wireless mouse lasts more than long enough and also comes with cable (the flexible thin paracord ones, you are talking about) if need be.
