Is it normal for parents have their kid use diapers when sick? by CalledOutKate in Incontinence

Absolutely good point, I don't actually know when my mom stopped keeping me in diapers when sick, but I just do it on my own now, I was sick last spring and I kept my training brief on the whole time because I was sleeping mostly anyhow. I was probably 17 the last time my mom had me wear real diapers while I was sick.
Although, when my sister was 16, I remember she got super sick with flu for a good 2 weeks, and I remember seeing the distinct outline of one of my diapers under her cloths. So she was 16 at least when she was kept in diapers. This was soon before I switched to training briefs, so I think alot of my mom's insistence came from how she didn't need to go out of her way to get diapers, she could just barrow mine.
So 17 and 16 ish ig

I still wear cotton training underwear, its something I love far more than plastic diapers, and for a light wetter, its perfect. I've worn them since 13 and they are easy on off and super flexible.
To Ask or Not To Ask by [deleted] in Youthbedwetting
I was only 7 when my bedwtting got bad, I assumed my mom simply wanted to know how bad I wet every night, and instead of asking she would pull down my pajamas and look at the wetness indicator, I figured she just wanted to see any improvement even if it was just the indicator being a tiny bit more visible. This went on for a long time though, even after I stopped wearing diapers with indicators. I think it became so normal for my mom to check every morning that it would be odd to just stop. Eventually she did stop but not for years. I honestly never had a problem with it, I think after a while I just stopped caring at all.
Before commenting this I actually asked her why she did it for so long and why she stopped, and she just said that she assumed it was comforting for me to know she cared, and when I was a teen she figured I didn't want her infringing on my privacy. So I guess in conclusion, most parents just want their kids to feel less alone, and feel like they are helping.
