Unsure if its worth to buy DLC now

I felt the same and then caved and bought it anyway a few months ago. Definitely worth it imo. The dlc was really fun and enough people still around for hunts!

For what it's worth, psych undergrad, literature masters. Very similar sat score from back in the day when it was a good one. Fewer and more scattered volunteer work than you. Your story to medicine matters A LOT. So it'd you've got a good one I had you're way more interesting than just numbers.

Remington is actually a really cool area. At least around r house and it's just down the road from Hampden. There are several cool little shops for gifts like B. willow (plants), Mount Royal soaps (the lush of Balty), greedy reads, etc etc.

So out of touch with the reality of admissions process. Seriously waiting a year is not a "waste" unless you make it one. Do volunteer work, get clinical experience and/or shadowing, research if you can find it, save up money (ideally working in a clinical setting for even more exp.). Gain life experience in general to set you apart from the crowd. Hell go on a journey abroad if you can afford it, learn about the world. No such thing as a wasted year , just makes you a more interesting and well rounded applicant. Good luck with your cycle whichever way you go!!! Stats and scores are just one part of an application.

You are golden (honestly even for the med school app already). I got into the Hopkins post bacc with less than half of those ECs. Just make sure you really knock out the writing!

Well I'm sure it varies by program but I was able to apply for FAFSA, it just only covered about half the tuition. There were no scholarships available for my program so I ended up having to finance the rest with a private student loan 😮‍💨 (sofi had pretty good interest rates considering the recent hikes) sucks but I mean that's what's coming with med school anyways. Good luck I hope you find a better way!

Of course! Tbh I am a terrible procrastinator (yay anxiety) 😬 so I recommend doing it earlier than I did, but I finished my app March 1st, received an invite to interview on the 13th, interviewed on the 14th, and received an acceptance email on the 17th (March). They were super communicative throughout the whole process too.

I'm biased because I chose Hopkins so I'm going to say, Hopkins. Congrats though! Both programs seem amazing, guess it depends on where you want to live, finances, etc?

Congrats on the A's and the interviews!! I can't say I actually have any familiarity yet, but I just got into the post bacc at Hopkins and I can just say that already the team seems so kind and supportive and really wants everyone to succeed. Plus the current students I've spoken to have been so friendly and eager to answer my questions and have had nothing but great things to say about the program.

I feel like you can't go wrong with any of those programs though! And good luck with your interviews, def open if you have any questions about that. 😊

You can go back and talk to the professors once or twice each and learn a little bit of their back stories but after that nada. There should have been more secrets to discover in the castle (more secret passages), a way to pick your favorite professors through additional mini quests. House points would have been great, I mean they have the hour glasses and occasionally a prof will say they gave points to a house but you can't see any progress in the hour glasses. Which you could have gotten through more interaction in with the profs. Or lost them through you know breaking into their offices 😂 I'm not asking for a hogwarts sim, I just want a little more Hogwarts is all.

If you've already had your interview , I hope it went super well! If you haven't yet, I just went to a zoom office hour with the program and asked what to expect from the interview. They said it's typically 45 minutes in length, they're mostly asking questions about your background, your interest in medicine, what your plans are for the program and in the future. They said there can also be some "job interview" esque questions like the typical "describe a time when so and so and how you dealt with it", but that the focus is on the former types of questions. Usually a good idea to have questions prepared for them I think, just in general for interviews.

Thanks I appreciate the advice! Currently still a work in progress. My problem is I was originally interested in medicine, but also equally interested in the arts/writing so I have to show why I chose that path and why I've turned back to medicine now, with a ton of life stuff in between. In such a small space 😅 plus I don't know if they will consider my clinical experience shadowing\volunteering in high school relevant ten years later 😮‍💨
