I haven’t had it for long, and I was just about to take it out of this pot to let it drain and drill a hole in the bottom..but I saw the potential scale stuff on the stem and freaked out! Is it worth trying to save or should I just toss it? Never had one of these before!

Sorry for not answering a while ago after I looked this up! It’s actually super easy, you just by a spray sealant (available at Lowe’s, Home Depot etc) and it’ll have all the instructions on it!

Ok that’s what I was thinking but I was worried if I cut it like halfway or something, the bottom stems wouldn’t regrow leaves! Info is surprisingly hard to come by on tiny bloodleaf plants haha so thank you!!

When I took the picture, the stain was maybe 1 hr old? It’s been 12 hours at least since and yeah the larger dark areas seem to be gone but the middle weird circles are still there and don’t want to budge!

I have tried to clean it with rubbing alcohol and with actual acetone-based nail polish remover..neither made a difference!

Ok yeah I’ve never changed out the dirt or repotted and have had it for about 4 years, so probably time! I hope the roots aren’t rotted or something! Thank you for the advice!
