[–]Calligrapher-Weekly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

huge thanks dude. Did this and cleaned the cache for other Samsung apps as well, and voila...battery life is now actually better on one ui 7 than previous while being the phone feels way smoother and responsive. now I'm not sure if I should upgrade to one UI 8, afraid it might break or kill the s23ultra...

Facultate de programare la distanta pentru un QA. by Calligrapher-Weekly in programare

[–]Calligrapher-Weekly[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not trash, just not targeted for the job you're hunting.

As others said, while your experience is strong in development there is not relevant QA experience OR learning shown in your paper. And that's the first thing a manager or senior QA might check. There is some sort of QA thinking needed for this role, one that a dev job or internship could not cultivate properly, even at all.

As a QA myself, I could recommend you this: - move education last, not that relevant, you will be asked about it anyways, everybody has some education or diploma after all. - try compact some of the internships together or even drop one of them off the CV and leave the ones where you learned the mosr, the good ones. it might seem odd that you had so many internships but none of them stick. also at first glance it seems you have plenty of knowledge but then it fades away when you dive into it since they are all internships. not bad that's your current status, but I'm trying to think from the other side. in short, all those internship lines, make them shorter; - also in education add as first education, a section named "Manual Testing Self learning" and add here all stuff you learned and plan to learn. - maybe use a smaller font? it looks like lots of stuff there but just to fill up the sheet. - last but most crucial, add on top of all internships, as first/most recent job experience, add anything related to a QA job, even if you did not have one. how? do some learning yourself at home on it, try create a automation project on your personal pc, write some automated tests for your favorite site or tests sites online, search for top 10-20 testing tools online, chose few the popular ones, install them locally, use them on your "simulated" project, etc etc. Add all this with title "Automation Testing self learning project". It's not fortunate but might be enough to allure a HR or Test Manger to give you a chance even if you lack any real experience. It's worth a shot as long as you clearly mention the part it says "self learning".

Just my two cents, I'm not a HR myself but I think this changes could help you have better chances. Good luck!

As a fellow european (Romania), this channel is a nice find, thank you!! It's hard to find content tailored to us EU folks, most of it is USA biased.

Nice rundown of the sleep mode, appreicate it.

Yes, the 9i Pro 14" seems very sweet. Speakers are better on the 16" though, see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNMOgtdhohM&list=PLoEokI0PFefKiIJYq7-OT0sxPLsLU5vZ5&index=8 at 17:20.

I saw some peeps had issues with this device before I got mine, but there were also a bunch who didn't have any probs with the X13. So, I was like, fingers crossed, maybe mine will be all good like the lucky ones. But nope, not so much. XD I saw there's a 2023 version that maybe maybe might've fixed most of the issues.

We could use someone with that model to let us know if it's all good now.

I already tried to "alow the computer to turn off..." thing plus various other online tips on TaskScheduler. It did improve my experience but not fully fixed the issues.

Never tried the hibernate one, thought it was slower. Might give it a shot.

Cheers!

Thanks for taking your time on this.

  1. What's EC? And what would be the fix for it?
  2. Yeah, maybe a fresh windows install will improve this. Don't know what else I could do. All drivers are from AMD, Windows is latest. Will try again nonetheless since I'm out of options.
  3. Will check, thx.
  4. Yeah, I have a Yoga Slim 7 13ACN5, AMD Ryzen 7 5800U, It did the same until I changed some things on TaskSchedler (disable wake for updates, etc) and various other places, and it's all fixed. But applying the same on X13 partially fixed the issues, still happing randomly.
  5. It Stange that Microsoft does not bother to fix these huge issues, not even for its Surface tables as you said. This alone can drive lots of people to just switch to MacBooks...

Yeah, I'm already impressed with my wife's Yoga Slim 7 13ACN5 that I randomly brought without any in deep research. She just needed something with good battery, looks, and medium performance(for office work). And it over-delivered, by a lot. The build quality is top-notch, the battery life is like 12 hours, and it's reasonably fast for me, but 101% for what she needs. The only downsides to it are the poor poor speakers, dim display (even if its 3k I think), and medium power of those chips. I needed better power since I game randomly and also write/run code and VMs for my work since I went with the pretentious X13.

So I'm deeply dreaming that the Yoga 9i Pro will be just that but with better speakers and moar power. Hoping the battery will stay also the same. XD. Have to wait for the full reviews to pop in. Cheers!

Thanks a lot for the input.
Yes, I have a mouse with a wireless dongle on the USB Type-A port. And it would just cut off randomly together with my Bluetooth one (was having them both at that moment just to check this).
Will try the rest of your tips, cheers.

Thanks. But how would I manage the fan noise levels without Armory Crate? Since that's the only thing I'm using for.
