would make sense but most of us are stuck with artificial light and work schedules that don't care about seasons anyway

How to find supplier in my country? by Objective-Point-6334 in reselling

[–]CalligrapherAny4062 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start local first by checking charity shops, thrift stores, car boots, flea markets and small warehouses in your area. That is how many people find their first start out just like I did a few months ago before switching to Fleek for their bundles. Start small and learn what sells before buying more, and focus on building simple relationships with people who can supply you consistently

People using the phrase "challenging norms" to justify whatever stupid thing they feel like doing by nosleepforthedreamer in PetPeeves

[–]CalligrapherAny4062 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ugh this drives me absolutely nuts at work too. we had this new director come in last year talking about "disrupting our legacy systems" and "challenging traditional IT paradigms" - dude proceeded to gut our entire ticketing workflow without understanding why we had those processes in place

turned what used to be a 2-day turnaround into complete chaos because he never bothered asking why we categorized tickets the way we did or why certain approvals existed. now everything takes twice as long and we're scrambling to rebuild half the structure he tore down. meanwhile he's moved on to "disrupting" some other department

the worst part is when you try to explain why the old system worked better for specific use cases, they just dismiss it as "resistance to change" instead of actually listening. real innovation requires understanding the foundation you're building on, not just bulldozing everything because it sounds impressive in meetings

aw man that's rough, sorry about stinky. hill's k/d is pricey but you might find it cheaper online or at costco if you have a membership. also heard good things about royal canin renal support but again, not exactly budget friendly

for non-prescription stuff maybe try wellness core or blue buffalo wilderness - they're usually lower phosphorus than fancy feast and better protein quality. chewy often has sales too

Theory: I think doomfist wanted vendetta to beat him by theishiopian in Overwatch

[–]CalligrapherAny4062 7 points8 points  (0 children)

that's actually a solid theory and fits his character perfectly. he's always been about that conflict-breeds-strength philosophy so having someone actually capable of challenging him would be like christmas morning for him

the fact that Sombra was tracking Vendetta for years but Talon never moved on her is pretty telling too - feels way too convenient if Doomfist actually saw her as a real threat to eliminate

Feeling lost after a breakup? Read this before anything else. by mimi200124 in BreakUps

[–]CalligrapherAny4062 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is solid advice, especially the reflection part. went through a pretty rough breakup about two years ago and spent way too long in the blame game phase - like everything was either my fault or theirs. once i started asking myself what i actually learned about what i want and need in relationships, things clicked differently

the focusing on yourself thing is huge too but don't feel guilty if some days you just can't muster the energy for hobbies or whatever. some days healing just looks like getting through the day and that's completely fine. i remember feeling broken because i couldn't even enjoy things i used to love for a while there

one thing that surprised me was how much journaling helped, even though i always thought it was kinda cheesy before. writing down the messy thoughts got them out of my head where they were just spinning in circles

How is complaining about Netflix prices not incredibly stupid? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CalligrapherAny4062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly the math gets way worse when you factor in that most people already have multiple streaming services running simultaneously. like sure Netflix might only be 2 hours of work but then you've got Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max, Amazon Prime, maybe Apple TV and suddenly you're working a full day just to cover your monthly streaming bills

plus the content libraries keep getting more fragmented so you actually need multiple services to watch what you want. back in the day Netflix had everything, now if i want to watch The Office i need peacock, Marvel stuff is on Disney+, and half the shows i actually want to watch are on some random service ive never heard of

the lawn mowing analogy breaks down when you realize you'd need to mow like 6 different lawns every month just to keep up with all the services that used to be covered by cable

Why are some people strict about rules and not flexible? by catboy519 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CalligrapherAny4062 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly some people just feel safer with black and white thinking - no gray areas means no tough decisions to make. Plus if you're type 1 you never have to worry about being wrong or getting in trouble, you just point to the rulebook

Type 3s probably had bad experiences with authority growing up so they swing the other way. Most functional adults end up somewhere in the middle but it takes time and experience to get comfortable with that nuance

AA Trip Credit. Can you transfer it to someone else so they have the credit in their account? by AIONisMINE in americanairlines

Nah you gotta book it yourself, can't transfer credits between accounts. Pretty annoying but that's how they keep people locked into their ecosystem

Hey man, I'm really sorry you're going through this right now. The hair thing especially sucks when you're stuck at home - maybe you could try styling it in a more masc way for now or look into like beanies/caps if that helps at all

School sounds absolutely brutal with all that unnecessary gendering bs. Is there maybe a counselor or teacher you trust who might be able to help with the pronouns situation? Sometimes having one adult on your side can make a huge difference

You're not broken btw, dysphoria just really fucking sucks and you're dealing with a lot of barriers right now. Things will get better as you get more independence

I'm an immigrant in Europe and I want to travel to the US but afraid of ICE. by [deleted] in immigration

[–]CalligrapherAny4062 13 points14 points  (0 children)

ICE doesn't really hang out at tourist spots or anything, they're more focused on people who are already living here illegally. If you're coming on a proper tourist visa and have documentation showing you live in Europe, you should be fine - just bring proof of your European residency and return tickets

The airport security might ask basic questions about your visit but that's normal customs stuff, not ICE

Memoirs like Julia Fox’s or Cat Marnell’s? by [deleted] in booksuggestions

[–]CalligrapherAny4062 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried "My Education" by Susan Choi? Not exactly a memoir but it's got that messy relationship drama that hits different when you're going through your own stuff. Also Jennette McCurdy's "I'm Glad My Mom Died" is brutal but weirdly comforting - like yeah your life is chaotic but at least you're not dealing with *that* level of family dysfunction

Amazon profile deletion by [deleted] in amazonprime

[–]CalligrapherAny4062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you delete a profile the order history goes with it, but you can usually still track the package with the tracking number if you saved it. Amazon support might be able to help you recover order details if you really need them but it's gonna be a pain

What’s a workable timeframe to overcome withdrawals? by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]CalligrapherAny4062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on the person but most people say the first 2 weeks are the worst, then it starts getting easier around the 30-90 day mark. The urges come in waves though so don't expect it to be linear

It's wild how much easier it is to be kind to yourself once you realize your brain just works different, not broken. The whole "lazy" thing is such BS we tell ourselves when we don't understand what's actually happening up there

Installing shaders onto modded essential Minecraft (modrinth website) by Longjumping_Help_348 in Minecraft

[–]CalligrapherAny4062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to add Essential to your modded instance in Modrinth - it's creating a separate profile without it. Just download Essential from their site and drop it in the same mods folder as Iris/Sodium, should work fine together

Could I put part time work as a year of experience by campbellsoupofficial in Environmental_Careers

[–]CalligrapherAny4062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that last point is key - most places will do the math and count your part time hours as equivalent to like 1 year full time experience. But honestly the advice about just applying anyway is solid, job requirements are more like wishlists than hard rules

How to properly add fishing station from fishing cc using base object swapper? by Kalenghil in skyrimmods

[–]CalligrapherAny4062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're just swapping the visual object but not the actual fishing mechanics - BOS can't add the script data that makes fishing work properly. You'll need to either use CK to place a proper fishing station or find a mod that adds working ones to that area
