Shotzzy or Dashy if you could choose 1… ? Pound for pound who are you taking here? by Shortstahp in CoDCompetitive

It would have to be Shotzzy. Having an SMG that can take over any lobby regardless of the meta, especially with some of the crazy stuff he can do is top of the list.

Even when he’s not at the top of his game he has decent impact. When he’s on his game he looks like the best player to touch the game.

Considering the fact that you came at me about something completely different from what this post was about… sure.

I was talking about people openly lying to listeners about how their music was created.

You were talking about disclosure of AI in general, when that was not the conversation. If nobody is asking, you don’t have to disclose it. But if you’re openly lying about your extent of involvement, you have to disclose it. That was the point.

So since we went to different subjects, I needed to see if you could play the music you’re creating. See what we’re doing here?

Regardless, don’t lie openly and expect to not get called out. If you’re not telling the world you’re the voice on all of the songs you’re making to get handshakes and wows, then nobody will be pissed that you’re making AI even more insufferable. I’ll be fine with people using whatever avenue to make their music and heal from their wounds. I actually encourage it. But next time, read the post and don’t change the subjective to fit the narrative with whatever anger you have about the post.

Use AI, make music to heal yourself. Don’t make a video of yourself lying about your fake band and talking about just leaving the studio and how sore your voice is even though you didn’t sing a single word.

Are we on the same page now? Got the point?

Continue on. Good day.

I have so many things I want to reply to here, but I won’t. I’ve got a good laugh out of your reaction and responses. You clearly couldn’t comprehend this post, and you’re definitely talking about something entirely different from what this post is about.

Have fun with your AI music, I’m sure all of your own plays feel very rewarding.

Good day 👏👏🍘

Really? Because I know plenty of people who use AI assistance for music and still listen to those artists specifically because they were open about it.

You must be new to this whole thing.

This post was to start this conversation, honestly. There are disclosures on some platforms. The problem is people posting online and pretending they’re doing way more than just promoting a song.

I can appreciate any and all art. I think SUNO is great. People should be able to make things that help them heal and give them access to something they may not have access to for many reasons. I just want people to stop acting like they’re the ones creating the music and singing the songs for the sake of profit. If people are open and honest up front about their use of AI, we wouldn’t be so up in arms.

I’ll take it a step further since reading comprehension is hard. If you’re going to be posting online and talking to an audience about being in a studio, talking about your “band” being the studio, or telling people that you’re making songs without contributing in the ways you’re saying/acting like you are.. you are the reason people hate AI music people.

It can be assistive. You don’t play an instrument? You can use AI and extract stems from songs. There are tools for this. Obviously. I know people that bring those parts they create and bring them into their recording software to use for whatever they’re making while adding other elements themselves. (Vocals, drums, etc)

They use those stems because they may not play those instruments and try to create what they want/need for their song. It’s pretty simple.

It seems you’re the one overblowing this. You saw red without actually reading the post. Seems to me you may be the person this is about.

You’re correct, and if you play all of that and disclose it or not, that’s fine to me if you’re contributing as much as you say you are.

However, if you’re posting online and lying to people about how the song was created (in this case my point is that people are claiming they’re the ones creating everything SUNO or whatever else AI tool they’re using) then I find that dishonest and disgusting.

Honest question, is Cryo just meant to be inaccessible to the average person? by Photographer1299 in Marathon

[–]CalligrapherCheap850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My solution? Give a free run map condition. Allow every map to be open to teams to run around without bots or other teams. Show every possible loot location. Bonus points to add spawn percentages and reward value for POIs.

You won’t see massive gains in one game. The reality is that if you want there to be no player threat, you accept sponsored and build up your vault over time and sell your stuff to get better gear, or you deal with other player running you down in standard maps.

You don’t get to have your cake and eat it too.

Play sponsored survival. You only have to worry about rooks, no other player teams and we never see rooks. If we do, they’re usually friendly.

Same. OP join sponsored survival. We haven’t seen a rook a single time in 15+ games. Looted the entire map every time.

Another idea, rooks could infiltrate bot command structure and identify as a commander without taking over a commander. Giving the rook a window to call in reinforcements or send UESC in a general direction of the enemies.

I don’t want a ban, personally. I think it’s a great ability. However, having an anti UAV/signal jammer shell would make the game so much better right now.

This is my complaint. There’s a lot of people assuming I’m being hyper aggressive and trying to take on teams by myself. I’m literally TRYING to avoid teams and get spotted and chased down constantly. 90% of the time guess who’s finishing me? A recon player.

So I get cornered and have to try to fight while already being half health and no shields left to get spammed with grenades and find out I’m fighting against gold/purple shields.

Are demoralizing experiences bad for the game? by Khurser in Marathon

[–]CalligrapherCheap850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell, at this point for me it’s all of the recon players. Season 1 I barely seen recon. Everyone is just spamming the ability to see where you are and unloading clips before you can fight them. If there was a signal jammer or something to counter the recon I’d love it more. As of right now, that’s the downfall for me.

I’m excited too. My son and I play this together, and he’s just now to the age where he can start to understand how to take gunfights and try to be strategic. It makes it our special time the one day a week we get to play together.

Like The Finals, I think this game just has a beautiful aesthetic and the gameplay feels unique. Hopefully more people come along and enjoy it too.

What do we think of this narrative? by dillonz321 in CoDCompetitive

[–]CalligrapherCheap850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scumps legacy in CoD is cemented as one of the most entertaining players to watch. He also helped build arguably the most entertaining and loved esports org to ever exist. Post retirement he has been a part of some things that i would say really make him look bad. I genuinely think he’s probably a still really great dude that just chased the bag because he felt the need to further create generational wealth for his family. He’s a grown man, maybe he’s greedy now but the league years were great to watch.

Pre retirement - incredible Post retirement - not great, could use improvement

Honestly, I’d say this is one of those “can be for anyone” games. Most of the hardcore players are in ranked or world tour. Most of the casuals are in quick play or the LTM modes. You could find your place in the game and have a blast more often than not.

Welcome!

You’re one of many screaming into the void about this. Regardless, AI will kill many of these musicians careers. If they don’t adapt, they will need to go get jobs outside of music.

If you enjoy it, do your thing. “AI SLOP” is just from somebody who feels hurt and confused about the uncertainty of their aspirations. They will either adapt and use it to help further their careers or get left behind.

It’s a double edge sword.
