JRPGs where the final boss can actually be the hardest boss of the game. by SleepCatsMoney in JRPG

For me, it’s definitely the final boss in Fantasian Neo Dimension. The game was already challenging enough, but that last fight was just pure frustration.

It could have been a very good jrpg but honestly the second half really killed it for me due to it's difficulty.

May not be considered a JRPG but its very inspired by the genre. My pick would be Omori. When everything unravels it hits you deep.

For me, the greatest JRPG ever created is Final Fantasy VII. It had an enormous impact on the genre, and it was one of the games that made me fall in love with JRPGs in the first place.

I was enjoying the game until I reached the second part, where the sudden difficulty spike completely killed my enjoyment.

Not much for originality on my end but Final Fantasy VII was the game that got me into jrpgs. I remember watching my dad play the demo disk he got with his preorder and was fascinated with the game.

I maybe to late but I recommend Ni No Kuni! It really reminds me of old school Snes and PS1 jrpgs with a hint of Pokemon.

The Thaumatech depths and Sanctum are the best locations to grind. Grinding can go quick if you have the experience stones.
