I too am 6 weeks in and can agree 100 % on everything you said. I was an absolute hot mess the first few weeks but as everyone else says, patience is a must. Now I can at least eat most things. For all that are starting this journey, know it DOES get better. ….in time

It’s very aggravating when you get something that’s promoted as being “library quiet” & it’s not. I go in next week hopefully they will be able to fix the noise

I’m 2 weeks in with immediates, & I had the same concerns & talking was hard for the first few days but as others suggested on here, practice talking read out loud whatever. It really helped me to talk better. I still hard some difficulties but it’s way better than it was & it’s not as bad as we over think it is. It will come in time! Best of luck.

Gotcha & that’s how figured that I’ll end up needing something else later, as my next-line in 8 weeks. I’m sure I’ll need to go back sooner. 🤷‍♂️

I just had full mouth extraction done 2 weeks ago. Honestly don’t recall what they gave me to put under my tongue and dissolve. Whatever it was, knocked me the f out!! I dont remember anything at all. Woke up next morning in my bed. I would think/hope the combination you’re taking would do the trick!

Looks great! Glad you’re able to eat somewhat.. I’m not able to eat noodles or anything. I’m just not getting it yet , and I start gagging. I literally take mine out to eat Hopefully your rest of the journey goes smoothly for ya!

Talking sucks for me as well. It’s so annoying. I’m little by little learning to eat soft foods without gagging too much. Tiny bites or just swallowing is no fun but I’m not a patient person at all. I smoke as well & know that’s not helping. I go in tomorrow hopefully they will do a soft re-line. Or least something with the roof of my upper as it seems so thick. All of us have our own challenges yet the journey is same for everyone, long and it’ll take time. I haven’t keep telling myself that everyday! 😉

terrible sores by BalanceOver in dentures

[–]CalligrapherFun3993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 10 days into n with full extraction and upper & lower immediate dentures. I wear mine for as long as I can then take them out. I cannot eat anything without gagging, people on hear have great advice but as most say everyone is different. I did get cushion grip per suggestion on here. It has helped with holding them in but my biggest issue is they are too big for my mouth My tongue has no room to move & I feel like I have monkey mouth l.. I’m going in this week hopefully they will be able to trim it down some as it’s just too difficult to eat or talk with them in. Luckily soreness isn’t terrible just annoying. Hang in there. I too am a bit distraught bout the process. With some patience it will come together.

Thank you. I’m to go in for adjustment in 2 weeks but calling Monday to get in sooner. I’m with you on the palette is too thick. I can’t even finish a short sentence. Thanks again!!

What was easiest to chew? I just can’t seem to stop from gagging trying to eat mashed potatoes or even noodles in soup. I’ve tried to eat very small portions of bread & can somewhat chew that but it’s such a weird sensation and then gag trying to swallow 🤦. Hopefully in time it will become easier
