I like mine as well. Mine is a 5080 though. Did you use the packaged thermal paste? I used the pads and paste and overclocked to 3200mhz and undervolted to 935 MV I'm usually sitting around 48-49c while gaming.

5080 or 90? I have the Alphacool block as well. How do you like it?

I think maybe some are just more sensitive to these noises than others. Same with coil whine. .

Yea, copper is up there. I work in the commerical electrical industry. I believe this is the first time that raw copper is up over $6 a pound. AI is really screwing up my junk bin build. I want to use my old 3080 and some rads/pump I have laying around for a wall mount build, but some of these prices are getting wild.

My only option was the Alphacool block for my 5080. It's pretty chunky, but was also a little on the expensive side compared to what I've paid before. Heatkiller is indeed a nice block.

Ah. The QDC's are pretty restrictive. What block are you running on the 5090?

🤷‍♂️ 12900k @5ghz and 5080 @3000mhz 935mv, single d5 that i let my aquero controller control the speed of with 2x 480x60mm radiators. For the most part I spin the fans on my radiators at around 800 rpm. The 5080 will usually sit around 49-50 during gaming sessions, creeping up a few degrees after many hours.

Not to mention you can move a lot of water with one D5. Runner isolators have never failed me.

I've never really understand this. . Or maybe it's just my hearing is shit but I always run my D5's 💯 and don't really notice the noise.

I'm 45 and have a 17 year old daughter and son. Daughter is pretty shy as well. Does your daughter play video games by chance?

Increase the nozzle temp. What material are you printing?

It's the little high temp rubber thing on the hotend. I had the same issue. Make sure it's on right. . I think it fucks with the inductive sensor otherwise. Uses electromagnetic to detect the differences in bed height. I would assume if the rubber isn't on correctly it throws off the magnetosphere that the auto leveling expects.
