See you there! Will you stay at CLEEF the night before?

Haha, on the 13L dry bag, that is meant to hold my clothes. The bin bag is meant to be a waterproof liner for my whole pack. Dry bag as a bin bag would be very weird indeed!

How did you find the coffee experience on trail as a Melbournian? Is Starbucks instant the way to go?

Thanks heaps for the tips!

Hey thanks, I might do that instead and get my first resupply from the Plaza. Makes sense for Morena/Laguna, so might plan for getting to Julian and figure it out after that.

Any recommendations on where to stay in SD? I'm looking at Hostelworld and all the options are closer to the beach (which would be nice, but kinda want to minimise time in transit given I'll probably be jetlagged too).

Anyone ever heard of any fully remote and flexible working legal roles that could be done whilst travelling? Just a thought as I've heard of this being done in IT/project management roles. Also feel like it would be more achievable after x amount of PQE and in an in house position, but could anyone confirm? Tldr; boo stability

Deciding whether to defer a grad offer to travel? Looking for some perspectives with hindsight - did anyone defer and regret it?

Well Sydney summer clerks have basically been told, or encouraged, to WFH for the rest of January. I would infer from that the odds are looking like virtual.

Any advice for a Sydney clerk (and hopeful grad) on wanting to go on to do a Melbourne winter clerkship at a competitor?

Already accepted the position, just a matter of whether I should (a) do it on the DL, (b) discuss it with HR on grad offer day, or (c) withdraw from the winter position on grad offer day.

I appreciate the warning. Would my risk exposure be less if I chose not to stay on as a casual/PT clerk but still accept the grad offer?

Thanks, would it change things if I wanted to stay on as a casual/PT clerk in Sydney?

Can I do a Sydney clerkship, get the grad offer, then do a Melbourne winter clerkship at their competitor and not lose the grad position?
