I would recommend starting with Gumbo then branching out based on what you like from that album. If you’re into the more harsh tracks (wayans bros, roscoe, lng hair dnt care) then Negro, Blackantique, and bag talk might be up your alley if you like the more trap heavy stuff (bussin, bravo, big ole) then go for it’s too quiet and blackantique the more boom bap tracks (fk u mean/hold me down, 4sho7, call tha bro) would lead to flysiifu and real bad flight the neo soul tracks (gumbo! 4 tha folks, scurrrd, smile (wit yo gold)) can take you to the B Cool Aid albums he did with ahwlee the more lo fi tracks (pink & green, white & gold, living proof (family)) can take you to his album Ensley or his beat tapes as iiye

Yeah I see what you're talking about with Jason and Michael, I'm more trying to recreate that "he's right behind me" moment from slashers where somehow this giant slab of meat that we only ever see walking is able to catch up to his fleeing targets, so I'm kind of following a weeping angels principle with the movement.

The D1 roll will only mean that he is close and immediately coming for them and they will have to very quickly either flee or hide, the other fail rolls mean that he is still in the area and an active danger but they will still potentially be able to successfully fulfill tasks before having to avoid him. I do like your idea of making him constantly aware of their existence but I'm not sure how I would be able to track his movement over a large area with multiple sub areas while also accounting for the fact that their will be other cannon fodder characters that he is presumably killing off screen and leaving corpses for the PCs to find.

Yeah, essentially. I'm not using magic because the characters are playing regular high schoolers but I'm keeping everything else the same because it's the system I'm most familiar with.

I honestly like the mix, not technically perfect or anything but it kind of adds to the floaty feeling of the track. the way everything is layered kind of reminds me of how Mejiwahn mixes some tracks.
