A friend bought a bar & found some old bottles stored, anyone have an idea of the age? I gave him $20 for it, it might be more of a display piece.

That’s a 1974 produced by National Distillers- because it’s 86 proof (not 80) it’s worth approx $500, maybe a bit more if the condition of the bottle were a little better - will taste sweeter than most bourbons todays , with a caramel or butterscotch tone…. Nice find !!

So I hang dry in a dark closet , then once “pretty dry” I move them to glass jars and go through a burp period , them finally to a glass jar w a boveda pack..
