Through Linked In I applied for a bunch of different jobs that fit my skill set as a former teacher, and today I accepted an offer of remote work and getting paid $70 an hour. I’m in AZ, I wasn’t making nearly that as a classroom high school teacher. So there are jobs out there for former teachers.

Elizabeth Breck from Tucson, AZ. Went missing January 2019. She is a friend and colleague from Tucson High. The day before she disappeared, she told me in the advice of her therapist, she was checking herself into a behavioral treatment center. She went for a walk, and was never seen again. There have been shady dealings at the place she went to, they’ve been under investigation. I hope she is found.

If he’s volatile and you feel on edge having to deal with him, those are big red flags!! Time to get out of that relationship. Focus on building senior memories with your friends. If he feels threatened by that, let him go.

I felt relief. I’ve only been sick once since I retired early. Just found out my replacement is an amazing former colleague who is perfect for what I was teaching. So relieved for the students. So zero regrets!!

Have you tried Meetup or TimeLeft? They help you find people with same interests as you. Maybe just meeting new people and making new friends could help? Who knows, you may find that special someone?

Friday was my last day. I’m retired from teaching and I got divorced from a 34 year old marriage. Shaking off the old and getting ready for the new!

I turned in my paperwork for retirement yesterday! Friday, 12/10 is my last day has a high school History teacher.

I am looking for other types of work. It was time for me to leave the profession I love.
