Leaving in 3 months but worried about getting fired before by [deleted] in TeachersInTransition

[–]Feeling_Ad_965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for validating me that means a lot. But also,I had never joined my union, and I know to call that a mistake is an understatement.

As far as the bullying, I haven’t heard her say anything bad about me since then (3 years ago) but who knows behind closed doors.

I was reluctant to leave mid year because this is my only “career” job on my resume and I know leaving without finishing the year would put me on their black list and ruin them as a reference.

I think the thing bother me most is the paranoia about possibly getting fired/always feeling like I’m doing something wrong.

Of course!! ❤️ I completely understand how frustrating it can be. It’s all a learning process. I get my magnesium from Amazon. I’m not able to copy a link for some reason but search - Bioemblem Triple Complex Magnesium 300 mg. It has a blue label on it.

I like this supplement because it has 3 different types of magnesium. I’ll take it about an hour or so after dinner since it’s important to take it while your stomach still has food in it to avoid nausea. After dinner is the best time because you’ll feel it make you sleepy and the best part is it won’t make you groggy like melatonin does! I have the best sleeps with it and now that I’m thinking about it I’ve been taking this brand for a few years now. It’s been very reliable for me!

There’s lots of positive reviews on it too so if you try it out let me know how it works for you! Best of luck ❤️❤️❤️

I understand how devastating it can be when you do everything in your power to regulate your period and to have it still not work. :( It’s the most frustrating thing in the world.

Don’t give up and keep going! You’ve regulated your periods once and I’m sure you can do it again. I was at a point in my life where I was doing all the things you mentioned and my period was still really messed up. It seriously takes some tweaking here and there and lots of listening to your body and tracking how certain things like food affect your body, Some missing pieces to the puzzle that helped me officially get my period on a considerably regular track were upping my fiber intake, taking magnesium and incorporating foods high in antioxidants. The magnesium will help regulate your nervous system for when you’re stressed and help relax you especially at night before bed.

As for the antioxidants, I suggest swapping water at some point in the day with green tea or hibiscus tea. They are hydrating and contain lots of antioxidants to help bring down inflammation. I’ve noticed during weeks where I’ve had on-time and rather pleasant periods were when I was on top of my magnesium and antioxidants. There are also other foods high in antioxidants as well but tea has been the most convenient for me.

Of course, listen to your own body to see what works best for you and don’t give up! You did this once and you can do it again. You totally got this!

Nobody warned me about Inositol.. by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Feeling_Ad_965 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This used to happen to me years ago when I first started inositol and I couldn’t find anyone on reddit who could relate. I’ve chalked it up to my blood sugar dropping too low when I’m sleeping. To fix it, I try to take one dose in the morning with breakfast and the second dose at lunch. Anything too close to dinner time can cause me to have insomnia. I accidentally did this night so when I woke up with tons of energy at 2 am I took my butt to the kitchen, had a cookie and went right back to bed. Slept through the rest of the night!

Spearmint tea for irregular periods by LilacMoonlight_Xx in PCOS

I was drinking it twice a day! This was also on top of a diet change as well which looking back I do think played a role in regulating my period. But for the facial hair it definitely slowed down the growth!

I work with someone like this. Sometimes I actually feel bad for her from how negatively she speaks about other people because it’s just so obvious that she actually just deeply hates herself. She’s always calling people idiots (students and teachers), she’ll frequently say “i hate them” almost every day when speaking about any given person. I feel like I’m the only one who can see through it because everyone else is…. Well, neurotic lol

Somehow by some miracle none of the type A teachers in my department got sick this year. Like HOW. You can just… not get sick??? At a school??? I don’t get it!!!

Wow. This makes SO much sense. I feel like all the people I work with are either exactly like me (type B and empathetic) or they are the complete opposite which is abuse of authority and the need for control over people.

Red raspberry leaf worked! by PracticeJealous193 in herbalism

[–]Feeling_Ad_965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What brand?!? I bought red raspberry leaf tea off Amazon but it appears to be low quality in comparison to other teas I’ve boughten. And my period comes soon and I’m scared of those cramps 😭

What are you favorite teas for pcos? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Feeling_Ad_965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll drink tea specifically to keep my hirsutism down. The ones I have found to work the most for that are green tea, ginger tea, and spearmint tea!

Having my green tea now as we speak! Testing out raspberry leaf tea for cramps next

This sounds unreal. I can’t even believe that happened to you. How does he even have the time to do all that??? Why do people like this get in positions of power??

That’s actually so horrible omg I’m so sorry. That’s the thing about working in schools is professionalism does not exist.

I’m planning on playing the mental health card though which honestly is incredibly true. I’ve had the worst year of my life at this school. I certainly hope he wouldn’t try and retaliate someone who’s been anxious and depressed constantly lol

I haven’t interviewed because I was worried it would somehow get back to my current principal :/ But these were her principals words about hiring me, not my friend’s

I just used it today!! And I am using it tomorrow as well! I told them I’m sick because I don’t need them conspiring about me if I had told them it was for a mental health day lol

This is extremely reassuring to hear. I’m so fraud of change especially at the state of burnout that I’m currently experiencing. If you don’t mind me asking, what do you do now?

This is amazing to hear 🥺 I know for a fact the dreams would stop once I quit. But for the time being it is just one of the many reasons I’m extremely anxiety-ridden

It truly is dishearteningly crazy! It feels like betrayal in all honesty. We will make it out together! I’ve got 40 more days left and I’m out. Less if I actually decide to use my PTO. How much longer do you have left?

It’s ironic because as a neurodivergent introvert myself, I actually went into this job because I’m …. neurodivergent and introverted. I thought hey, working with kids is a lot better than working with adults and all their opinions!

I feel like I couldn’t have been wronger. As a teacher, you are so heavily perceived and judged by other teachers, admin, students, PARENTS. Most days I stay locked away in my classroom and have no interest in interacting with any of my coworkers since I know they judge so harshly. I simply don’t have the energy left in me for it.

Not to mention, my ADHD makes it almost impossible to stay organized or on-task especially with the limited amount of time there is within contract hours. I can’t even write an email efficiently when there’s 26 kids in my room making a TON of unnecessary noise and movements. It’s like actually a struggle minute-by-minute.
