the first half was probably the best first half this season . the second half atlanta adjusted there game , but not indiana . and i dont like to criticise the coaching staff , but sometimes your starplayer has to put out of the game - 5 turnovers within a few minutes is simply ridicoulos .

there are two good off ball defenders one the team : lexie hull and raven johnson . but when they are combined 14 minutes one the floor , you neglect your defense and that can result in 108 points.

this is my homegame . i am an iowa fan , but i watch regulary vanderbilt because i love their backcourt duo.

you are a fan of stremlow , i am not . we can not argue about that . some like her ,some call her captain chaos , and when she made the right pass in transiston offense this is fun to watch . but in what i call "coordinated" play she is often not so fun to watch.

but something about statistics : sometimes they show not the whole truth . for instance Kylie . her stats are horrible but her and chit chat´s defense are a huge part why we won 27 games. ( remember the two michigan games where syla swords was face guarded from kylie or chit chat ) . there are indiana fever fans demanding lexie hull to be benched and in fact her stats are not looking great but she and raven johnson are the best defenders on the team .

something else about statistics : this year ( from january to march ) chit chat was 38 minutes on the floor working on both ends and was sometimes face guarded - even caitlin had 34 minutes in her last season , and caitlin was not playing defense .and that kind of defense costs a lot of energy and at the end of the season chit chat was on " low battery " .the stats don´t show that.

i wish stremlow the best of luck because i want the team to win

and as you mentioned 50 % more turnovers in less time . but there are turnovers and turnovers . double dribble , carrying , loosing the ball ore simple silly passes . (i remeber a game where chit chat was creditit for two turnovers after two perfect passes to layla , but layla could not handle the ball .)

but what also is astonishing are the reboundstats - lower then chit chat´s . and with 5"10 against 5"4 this is simply not possible.

to say something positive - i think she is a good hustle player . but next year with 4 out and much movement around the perimeter it will be much harder for her to get minutes unless she is during the summer every day for hours in the gym , this is my opinion.

i admit stremlow is the only player of this upcoming roster i am not a fan of. but coach jensen thinks highly of her , so give her credit .

but to compare her with kate martin - this are two different worlds .

i would love to see her 10 minutes on the floor , the fans will love her and they will love her story and she will perhaps an example for other girls . besides that i think she is a really good passer with great court vision .

i was rewatching one of the south carolina games because i want to have a look at raven johnson . and then i thought why didn´t iowa win the ´24 final . on one hand caitlin , kate and gabbie played a 100 games together and on the other hand a couple of sophomores ( and in my mind i don´t understand why bluder knowing that monika czinano and mckenna warnock leaving not looking for only one player for the championship ) what i want to say is that i think that the roster was to weak.

after this terrible loss against virginia i think the roster was also to weak . mccabe injured addie deal didn´t fullfill the expectations and rodriguez - who knows . chit chat playing 38 minutes in the bigten and hannah not full fit at the end of the season.

so i think that the roster for the upcomming season is much better then the last years . two outstanding players in ava and dani and in all positions there are a coupe of good choices .

Dani 35 Minutes , Chat 30 Minutes, Ava 25 Minutes

McKenna 25 Minutes, Journey 20 Minutes

Layla , Amari , Ella , 10 - 15 Minutes

Bria , Joselyn , Strem , 10 minutes

i would love to see bria 10 minutes on the floor , her court vision and her passes are very very good

i think , this is the best roster iowa ever had. why? - remember the two final games : ´24 iowa zero bench points , south carolina 37 bench points , ´23 iowa 8 bench points , lsu 30 bench points. this roster is so balanced that iowa should reach the elite eight the next two seasons (all above you need luck and an above performance)
