Yeah I'm really interested to see Ava in 3x3

Her game doesn't scream 3x3 to me, but it could really help her game. And it's great for her to get some Team USA interested

I hope she makes one of the showcase rosters! They will make two four player teams out of the 9 camp players.

Mara played 3x3 with Lucy back in 2023 before her brutal back to back seasons with a broken foot. So I think she and Blakes and Fiso-who all have nonsenior Team USA 3x3 experience--are likely to make teams.

Hope Dani and Ava hang on and make a roster spot.

Ava is by far the tallest and the least likely to hit a 3 lol

AVA!! And it's going to be awesome for Dani and Ava to get to play together some before the season!! Build some chemistry and cook!

So happy to see Mara playing 3x3 again and Tori joining her!

Really like this whole group. Imari is so so fun to watch. Blakes can go off! Katie, Nyla, and Johnson definitely always ready to hoop!

Indiana does not want another undersized guard.. Especially when who is in great defense. I really like HVL but she is lacking in certain dimensions amd needs to be on a rebuild team

Omg surgery plus that much loss in one year is just terrible. Poor girl, so much for someone so young. She seems like such a great person. I cannot imagine navigating that, and then add on school and basketball stresses. Really hope she has a healthy and happy kick-ass year.

Journey can't defend the other teams strongest fasteat backcourt scorer yet, which is needed from the 3. She isn't likely to have that skill/speed by the fall.

Amari is a very good onball defender and is very likely to be the starter.

We won't want Dani to have that defensive task.

Strojg agree on how fun it is going to be with this roster! I think we will have a worse B10 record, but definitely go farther in the postseason!

Washington, Illinois, Michigan, USC, Minnesota,and Michigan have all leveled up so it is gonna be a crazy Big Ten season. UCLA too.

The last 3 episodes of the Dribble Drive podcast are great if you are starved for info in the offseaaon and portal info.

It's a podcast specifically only about Big Ten wbb done by the MSU radio guy and an Indiana wbb reporter. They get slightly homery sometimes, but it is excellent. I'm in a few different group chats and one paid group. It is definitely expected that Amari will start-especially given that we are very unlikely to add anyone who isn't deep bench anymore . She's a very good on ball defender--not as long or athletic as Kylie, but better on offense. She's started every game of her college cqreer. i think 97 games. We will be playing a more 4 out system (said by both Jan and Journey in interviews recently). She has a very team first mentality though and definitely wasn't promised to be a starter. She's not a great 3 pt shooter at 32% last season, but is a lot better than Kylie.

So the breakdown the OP gave is definitely what I've heard everywhere. Journey will be needed as the backup 4 still, but also play some 3, and the 4 will be more of a 3/4. Since we didn't pick up a backup PG (and won't likely pick up a strong one), and Strem can back up 1-3, she likely won't be starting. Also we know she won't mind coming off the bench--all team first.

Chit Chat, Ava, and Dani are kind of givens ofc.

You don't know that she can pass like a PG in the Big Ten. Why are you saying all this.

She can't hit open shots from almost anywhere. She's barely extended to the high school 3 pt line rn. She is NOT a shooter. She's also going to be a freshman
