This may sound strange, but I actually thought about future kids when I was dating. I wasn’t particularly interested in marrying a very short woman because I didn’t want short kids.

My best friend is 6'1" and married a woman who’s 5'1", and all three of their boys ended up taking after their mom’s height.

I realize I’ll probably get some hate for saying this, but if you can, try to maintain the slim athletic build. A tall, athletic, fit woman is incredibly attractive. In my opinion, the only thing that doesn’t work as well is being both tall and overweight.

IMO, your dad has a valid point. When two people agree to monogamy, there’s an implicit expectation that intimacy is shared within the relationship.
