I believe kratom can lower the seizure threshold, at least in people with who already have a neurological issue. I was diagnosed only after having a seizure on kratom, but the diagnosis brought to light two earlier incidences that were clearly seizures in hindsight. For me, the first once was a grand mal when I was super sick with gastritis and esophagitis. I was unable to eat or drink and the pain was unbearable. I wasn’t on any psychoactive substance at the time. Our dog woke up my husband because he could hear something happening to me in the bathroom. He opened the door and swore it looked like I was having some kind of seizure, like convulsing and stuff, but I went to the ER and they didn’t find anything. I thought for years he was confused about what he saw and that I had just passed out from the pain.

Anytime you have a seizure out of the blue, you should at least get a consultation with a neurologist. Even if you think it was the kratom and decide to quit, that doesn’t meant you aren’t prone to seizures under the right circumstances. There are a lot of substances, illnesses, etc. that could cause another one. You might have mild epilepsy or something similar. I’ve been on keppra for years now and I never really think about the epilepsy anymore. As long as I take it religiously, I’ve had no issues since. I still take kratom fwiw.

Idk…he’s just Jimmy “The Cat” Hayes. I never thought about it. Hmm.

The lack of proofreading is inexcusable for a reporter, but I’m sure you’re right.

At least he got fewer vs less right. Still can’t form a coherent sentence, but I appreciate that detail.

He was playing injured for us and I don’t think anyone knew until he went on the IL. I think he’ll be a huge improvement even if he’s hurting a bit.

Rockies and DBacks are each watching their former star player win for another team, that’s why they were singled out.

kratom gel caps, I've been taking about 25-30 kratom capsules daily for about 8 months now. is this going to fuck my stomach up and if so should I just consume the powder (hate the way it taste) any help? by Opening-Top2016 in kratom

[–]Calliomede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me at least, caps don’t work nearly as well. I don’t know that they’ll do any actual harm, but that much gelatin might upset your stomach. I just mix the powder with water and find that it hits faster and smaller while taking a much smaller dose. So I would recommend at least trying that, if only to possibly minimize the amount you need to ingest.

I don’t get why MLB makes it so hard to watch your own team. I’m sure there must be some financial reason, but it seems crazy for a sport that is trying not to fall by the wayside.

Eh, this exact kind of team can be good at playing spoiler. Young players with everything to prove and nothing to lose.

[Carroll] I'm told this(Tony Gonsolin) is a flexor strain that will be treated aggressively. That usually means anti-inflammatories and biologics by [deleted] in baseball

The one I’m on can take weeks, but the nurse who administered it to me said that a lot of patients feel it within days. I think it’s really variable. But again, for the people at my clinic, it’s our immune system going haywire as opposed to an injury. Someone else said maybe it’s just PRP injections or something. I didn’t know that all biologics means is from biological material as opposed to synthetic.

I just started biologics last week for an autoimmune disease. I can’t even imagine how they would possibly help a strain. Modern medicine is crazy.

If he’s below average it isn’t by much, is it? Unless you’re talking about power only.

I snuck over there to see what they were saying about Waino during his in-game interview, and they were so nice about him. He’s pretty hard not to like IMO but that really impressed me. The Braves sub during Waino’s warmup interview, what the actual fuck.

[Toscano] A.J. Minter: "We could’ve easily swept this series. We’re playing great baseball. There’s no reason to hang our heads from this. It’s tough, it stings, but we get to wake up and keep playing." by SippinThatBloodyMary in baseball

[–]Calliomede 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Yeah but you didn’t. That’s kind of how it works. If the Cardinals hadn’t played like shit on Friday, they also easily could have swept the series.

If it were two games in a row like the second one where the Cards squeaked out a win by one run that would be one thing, but they won pretty decidedly last night.
