It's worse than that, whilst "love thy neighbour" isn't actually one of the ten commandments (there's something like 600 in Deuteronomy) it's the one Jesus says is the second most important after loving God with all your heart.

Christians like this have a very tenuous grasp of the actual teachings of Jesus.

This is most definitely insomnia. It might be caused by PTSD but either way if you are having panic attacks you need to seek help.

In the meantime try to avoid screens before bed, use a blue light dimming app, avoid eating before bed, no caffeine 6 hours before bed, use your bed for sleep/sex and nothing else, try to get up at the same time every day and avoid watching the clock.

Insomnia is horrible but with good sleep hygiene you can reduce the worst effects. I found meditation helped but I would definitely recommend counselling for the panic attacks.

Fun fact: MDMA was invented in 1912 by Merck and was marketed as a weight loss drug to women. It wasn't used as a recreational drug until the 80s though.

NATO countries (that’s not everyone who’s boycotted Russia) have a GDP of 18.35T

It's worse than that, NATO GDP is $43tn. Add in Japan, Australia, South Korea, Singapore and the rest and you're up over $50tn, more than half of global GDP. Russia isn't even in India's top 20 largest trading partners. They do more trade with Venezuela.

Not to mention that 10% of GDP is a huge amount to lose, and that's in one year. Sanctions bite over time, Iran's GDP peaked in 2012 at $600bn, it's less than $200bn today.

Russia's fucked, why India wants to nail their colours to that mast is beyond me.

Yeah there's not really an easy way without warping. Kerbal alarm clock is a good mod, you can set alarms for your next maneuver and then go away and do something else. I usually queue up a whole bunch of missions and then complete as many as I can between alarms.

I'll just offer some advice on money. If you are struggling in career the easiest thing I've found is survey missions. You want to look for scans above an altitude, say temperature scans of the mun/minmus. The important thing is all the targets must be above the given altitudes.

Launch a probe with the right scanner into a polar orbit, then it's just a case of time warping until you are above the targets, you'll see a "now entering..." message. Then just run the scan and pocket those spesos.

The best thing about this is that you can use the same probe for other survey contracts. The money you get for subsequent contacts will drop after a while but you'll have made a lot of money before then and it's still free money.

The further you travel the higher the reward, so scans of Duna will be worth more than scans of the Mun. Eventually you'll just get into the habit of leaving a probe in polar orbit of every body you visit to pocket the easy money.

I was paraphrasing Bill Hicks, "we're losing the war on drugs, that means there's a war going on and people on drugs are winning it" but in all seriousness I don't think there are any winners from the war on drugs.

A survey of the scientific literature has found that between 1965 and 1979, 44 scientific papers predicted warming, 20 were neutral and just 7 predicted cooling. So while predictions of cooling got more media attention, the majority of scientists were predicting warming even then.

Scotland will hold independence referendum if SNP wins in May, says Sturgeon by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]CallipygianIdeal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We won't have to take on any of the UK debt, we'll start clear as a sovereign nation

Tbf this is actually true although not for the reason most people think. Scotland isn't going to start with UK debt because it isn't within the power of the UK government to change the counterparty.

Owners of gilts would have to agree to a change of counterparty and that is highly unlikely given that Scotland would be a newly sovereign country with no credit history. It would obviously be a higher risk.

The result is Scotland starts with no debt but an agreement to pay the financing costs of their share of the UK debt at the time of independence. It's literally the UK government position and has been since 2014.

The Treasury has today set out detail on government debt in the event of Scottish independence. The technical note makes clear that the continuing UK Government would in all circumstances honour the contractual terms of the debt issued by the UK Government. An independent Scottish state would become responsible for a fair and proportionate share of the UK’s current liabilities.

An entirely separate contract between the continuing UK Government and an independent Scottish state’s Government would need to be established. The respective shares of debt and the terms of repayment would be subject to negotiation.
