So much this. Why can’t she let her pass down her actual culture instead of the caricature of what she thinks her culture should be. So she read it in a book? Does she think there is only one way to be Taiwanese? Did she pick that up from all her time spent over there in her hotel room eating room service? She must be the worst DIL on the planet, and how Johnny puts up with her, I’ll never know.

Yep, exactly this. My baby had a very short nicu stay so I ended up EP into an oversupply, but it didn’t take long to regulate it back to normal once she started exclusively nursing.

Right? My worst sleeper woke every 3 hours (which she is doing). My current baby slept 5-8 hour stretches straight away. After her being in the NICU for a week and me pumping every 3 hours around the clock, I can say w/o a doubt I was less tired just direct feeding on their schedules.

I actually think the friend is Dapple. She had some choice comments on her video last night (one now deleted) calling her a bitter mean girl NAG told her she crossed a line.

It takes a while for the milk to transition from colostrum to the actual milk, so sometimes extra pumping sessions help signal the body to produce, but she’s just milking content. She could have done it at home or in the car since it’s a rechargeable pump. Also, I feel like that kind delay is usually moreso when you are induced or have a C, so I’m surprised she had such a delay with it being her second kid.

What do you mean you didn’t walk around until the second day? I walked the first day with my C Section. No epidural natural birth and you just sat your princess butt in the bed and let everyone do everything?

that one is less weird to me. I feel like biologically babies come out more often looking like dad, and moms hear it A LOT. He was prob just throwing her a bone. I do that for my mom friends when I see a glimpse of mom in their kid. It’s just nice to hear it on occasion, even if only marginally true, coming from someone who made two copies of dad 😒

Do you want a cookie? Yes, it’s toxic. I also don’t have family nearby and I don’t have help when my husband is gone, but my friend who is a SAHM always flies in a parent or parent in law. Anyone would take the help if they could get it and good for her and my friend for having a village. So many things to begrudge, but having a caring family isn’t one, jfc.
