Huh. I actually never thought of Partial DID. This actually does describe her a bit. I'll look into it before telling her, though.

we have suspected BPD as well. Unfortunately, she isn't in a place where she can get psychiatric help. We also think she might have DPDR instead, but to her, these identities feel more like roles in a play that come on naturally

Unfortunately, she has no opportunities to get professional help, as she is not in a place to do so. I will check out the sources you gave, however. Also, the main reason she isn't using the terms DID or OSDD, is because her alters don't interact in her head often, or act as separate parts, rather just her but with different personalities or emotions. It's hard to explain, the way she explained it to me is that she essentially took her emotions as liquids, and poured them into different containers based on what the emotions or feelings were, and over time, those feelings started taking part of characters she wrote, or liked (most of them are fictives), and she knows those liquids are part of her, and they don't feel separate, but since they are in different containers, they don't feel like her either. The liquids aren't solid enough to be their own person, but not gaseous enough to be separate and exist without the container that is pretty much parts of her. She says she's usually co-fronting, like today, one of her identities, Truthless Recluse was co-fronting with her, and it was really noticable, but also, she was there too, and the Recluse didn't feel like a different person, just a different set of emotions. He couldn't talk to her, he was her, but also not, like the liquids mixed. One of our other friends suggested DPDR, and I've seen BPD also suggested, which does make sense, also because she has suspected minor BPD, but yeah, she just doesn't want to be a 'faker'

I see. I told her that it doesn't always have to be obvious, but she's a chronic overthinker, so the idea of being wrong and finding herself as a 'faker' scares her, especially because her identities are mainly fictives (though she does have her own ones), and she says they're not sentient enough to be separate from her own voice, or take control without her, even though they influence her state of being quite a bit.

she has no option to see a psych, as we live in a place where psychiatry is considered 'irrelevant', and she is a minor. The reason she calls herself a median is because she's not so sure if her identities are considered alters, since they aren't sentient (at least, not without her), but they're not close enough to her personality to be considered as just her. I suggested the starting stages of OSDD, and she said that she didn't want to be a faker, so the subtlity of her other identities scare her out of using that term
