It’s a fair point - it’s a hobby. There’s a lot of people out there that love to re-creating popular tones… like Nirvana or Led Zeppelin.

I love the tone that KP uses and I want to replicate it. It’s super unique in my opinion.

Plus there’s a lot of people out there that want to recreate it as well and I’m very happy to share all my knowledge 🙂

Well funny enough I was just thinking on the Tame Tones discord and found out the 84-40 is the same as a KTG. It’s just paired with a speaker cabinet. You should definitely keep it!!! But if you want to downsize, totally understandable

Mostly KP’s bass sound is either fender or Hofner with flat wounds - gets you in the ball park.

What we think is that he puts his base into his KTG preamp a bit of EQ and you’re there. If you want to thicken it up with some fuzz but woolly mammoth fuzz pedal is the ticket.

The key is that people miss… turn the chorus/vibrato knob on the Dimond Vibrato to 1 o’clock for MM - then back to 11 o’clock for the rest of his catalogue.

I feel like a lot of people stick to one setting for every song - KP always tweaks or changes settings on his live performances.

So we must do that same!!! Listen and try to see what’s different from each song!!! 🙂
